Who can see your viewing activity?
is Dealertrack VINtek?
yep, same place; that is who we currently use, thank you!
If vehicle owner changes address, how is the title mailed to the owner?
Our credit union changed names a few years ago but still have liens under our old name. How will we release liens on these titles with the old name?
Okay thank you.
once we get our id# for credit union, are we going to have to type in our information everytime?
Will Simply ELT (PDP Technologies) be a provider that you will be working with to get set up?
we have been in discussions with a number of services providers, and they are ones we have been communicating with. Obviously until we get to that point and they decide they want to participate, I can't say they will be here. But we have been speaking with them about timing, etc.
we currently use Dealer Track; would we still be able to utilize e-services, or do we have to use the service provider as we already use them?
Thank you, we currently work with them for out of state titles.
Is there any advantage to using a service provider? The provider that we use now for other states is not currently supported by MI. I expect that short term we need to apply for direct access to MDOS. Please advise.
it will be the choice of the financial institution on whether they go through eservices (handle themselves) or delegate the work to a service provider.
I can't speak to whether there is an advantage or not, there will be costs associated with a provider
For refis - Can we place our lien while the existing lien is in place and our lien move into first position once the original lien is released?
after receiving our credit union code,or number, will we have to type our credit union name and address with every title?
there will be a demo on the feature shortly which will answer the question.
the lienholder code will populate your information. there will not be a title printed. the address would be printed on a title that you specifically authorized to be printed
Back to the question of the benefit of using an outside service provider...Can you clarify what you meant when you mentioned it'd be more of a workload for us to handle it ourselves? We currently use PDP for our out of state electronic title provider but we still have to phsyically login and individulaly release titles in their site. That seems like what we'll be doing in the state's site directly as well.
Will the MI Title application that we use to add a lien have a space added to put our electronic lien ID?
The title application will have a field for lienholder ID #
Great thank you
Level of effort. I can't speak to what a service provider makes a financial institution complete in other states or what they will make them complete here, but it is fairly straight forward process for completing your tasks related to the lien processing

Is there a fee for doing an inquiry?
Ok that makes more sense, thank you.
No fee for inquiry
Is there a way for us to authorize adding and/or removing individuals to the title?
There is no mechanism in the ELT system for corrections to titles
Will there be an option to charge the account similar to UCC billings?
that would be a new title application since we are changing vehicle ownership.
the UCC system is separate than the ELT system. I will get an answer for you though
we currently have either an RD108 or copy of the title for the loan file; will the email we receive that the title was done electronically have enough information to replace this need for our files?
Can we still search boats, snowmobiles, etc like we can in today's system?
the dealer or customer will still get a validated title application (RD-108 or TR-11) for the transfer that can be requested for your file. the only time that would be different is if you did the refinancing where a title application does not occur if all the information remains the same (with the exception of the filing date)
okay thank you
watercraft yes, snowmobile no as they are not titled
They are registered theough and currently we can see who is on the registration. But since this is for ELT that makese sense. As long as the other part of the system will still be available for those types of inquiries.
How soon can we sign up?
When needing a response, what is the estimated time?
What if we are interesting in being a test site?
The testing organizations are already working to assist with development, but thanks for the interest!
can we get a copy of the question and answers for those who didn't follow the questions as they came in
Laura Crase - HAFCU
will the slides be available?
can we get slides for the presentation?
so in summary
If a paper title has already been issued, and there is an existing lien, and a customer applies for a loan resulting in a 2nd lien after 3/2021... (if I understood correctly, it sounds like the title will become electronic... Will the existing lien show on the electronic title (so 2 lienholders will appear in the system...?)
vendors provide out of state help and Michigan does not? Any other differences?
to place our lien; will we still be bringing titles to SOS and they will make them electronic (if the title is paper)?
So if we have a paper title with a lien on it now and we would like to electronically release it to a different organization after March 16th, is there a way to do that?
There is no way to use the ELT system for the release of a lien that is on paper today
A Paper title has lien on title, it will need a paper release. How does it get into the ELT system?
