If we choose in person instruction, and due to circumstances the school cannot provide in class for a period of time and needs to go virtual for a quarantine period, will the classroom teacher be providing the virtual instruction? And will that instruction be live or asynchronous?

My Son is new to Northbrook. He is Lable ID and receive Speech. His enrollment is complete. Whom do I contact for further information on my son Tyler?
Courtney Jaynes
39:17
M Hughes, I think it depends on if it is the school or district and if long term or short term. If short term virtual model, they will look at keeping the student with their scheduled teacher. If long term or district wide they may be assigned to another teacher who is doing virtual.

How can we get the link to last night's Board Meeting recording? Thank you!

We touched on this at the last PASE meeting, but has the district given any thought to expanding services to something like the homebound program to help those parents who choose online but whose kids are nonverbal or otherwise have a very difficult time working online? Some parents have to choose based more on medical conditions rather than the ease with which their children can learn online. (That may have been discussed more in-depth in other meetings, but I have had parents at my school ask me this). Thanks!

Board Videos are posted on the district webpage Under the Board of Trustees

My son goes to Spring Forest Middle School, if he goes in school, will the students still be changing teachers OR will there be one main teacher for each of the main subjects? OR will just the teachers change classrooms and the students stay in one room for the day (back like elementary)?

I have 2 questions: my daughter is on ICS at MMS. For remote instruction, when the class instruction is over and the kids have their independent work time, can the ICS provide rotating 1:1 support or similar, such as checking for understanding and modifying curriculum?
sue rankin
53:22
My second question for remote learning is how will ICS/SPED maximize modifications & minimizing saying they don’t need to do an assignment at all?
