..and questions for Richard and I

I hear that Ofsted may be carrying out thematic reviews of first wave T-Level providers early in 2021, is that the case?
David Corke
30:39
Yes, RB will mention them in a moment
Julie Ashton
30:39
Richard will get onto that later in his presentation

Are you able to share best practice that has been demonstrated during the interim visits for supporting students with EHCP. How are colleges offering support during the live delivery classes?
David Corke
38:02
RQF assessments on BTECs rather than resits - but up 50k for sure
David Corke
38:17
Bigger than the Nov resits

P - P - L - P - applies to face to face teaching, learning and assessment too?!
Julie Ashton
41:55
Absolutely it does. We're just posing the question how do you check when teaching is online.

Just on RQF assessments for Jan. We have 1673 exams in Jan for 953+ learners. There may very well be disruption in Jan following relaxations of guidelines over Christmas - we will need flexibility to make this work for our students
David Corke
45:43
Hi Di - I think there are some small flexibilities on the way
Tom Hallam
48:20
Di - totally agree - on the 6th Jan we have over 600 students taking BTEC RQF exams on that day alone! If there are going to be flexibilities though, we really do need to know ASAP. We've been told about the Part A unsupervised guidance flexibilities, which was released today - but it doesn't look like anything else will change for actual exams?

Q for Richard. Why do IV reports appear on the Ofsted website as Monitoring VIsit reports when an IV and an MV are not the same thing?
Julie Ashton
56:26
Some of the back-office functions cost a lot of money to change. I believe this would have cost us money for a temporary change and we felt the sector would understand the distinction once the report was opened.

You say Highly Unlikely in the Spring Term - do you mean up until Easter or just January?
