As we run out of time I wanted to share a broadband opportunity that I had hoped I could have shared verbally. In January of 2019 I was part of a negotiating team that obtained the first level of benefits to the State of Maine from CMP and HQ deliverable when construction starts n the NECEC project. Regarding broadband that benefit is 8 million $.Realizing the project is controversial it has significant benefits to Maine and I think the group needs to decide if we support saying favorable items about it. $8 million would go a long way in engineering a system or installing broadband where needed.

Questions I have regarding childcare issues are how will we pay for this? What happens to families who choose to keep their children at home? Will their children be left behind? What happens to existing private childcare services?
