I question if you can separate government and institutions from individuals and communities. Having looked at 4 centuries of racial persecution in the US, the need for parallel processes at the national, state, community and individual levels among a majority emerged as critical for fundamental progress to end the persecution.

Hi Everyone, I'm Gugu from South Africa. I want to ask about the lack of youth inclusion in these TJ processes. How do we make our sure our governments and leaders are recognising the need to have the youth voice mainstreamed in these processes? Especially in Africa where the majority of the continent is young people.

From Judith Goldberg: In the US, should the truth and reconciliation process begin on the local level, since a national reparations effort would take awhile to get going?

From Gugu Nonjinge: The next wave of conflict in the world is going tobe climate induced and we can’t deny that climate change increases instability and has significant adverse effects on peace­building processes. Going forward you think Peacebuilding Commissions within our nations are ready to advance discussions on climate-related security risk?
