Hello from Austin! Sunny day after much needed rainy night.
Hi @Karen - I'm in Austin, too!
Hey Karen. Glad to see we (VCC) are partnering with you on NAR. Hope you are doing well.
Love the event brand - "Apartmentalize"
Yay McCormick Place in Chicago!
Over 400 exhibitors is still amazing!
wow! that is amazing
I've heard of others also holding same # of sessions in order to spread out attendees in physical space. Smart.
Patti LaBelle?! Fabulous!!!
I amjoing late due to hotel call about a Dec National meeting and hope that this question has not already been discussed.
Are hotel willing to work with groups to move forward vs. cancelling. My meeting last week happened, but now we are dancing with hotels about attrition numbers. December meeting is almost demanding a rebook to avoid attrition. What are you seeing?
How does your planning change from 2021 to 2022 assuming you go back to regular dates for 2022. Will that impact attendance if your show is less than 12 months away?
We're hearing similar messages from others - quality over quantity audience for Fall 2021.
These are huge convention and one perspective, smaller programs 1,000+/- are really hurting. We can't meet the F&B minimums based on the decrease in attendance and need for social distancing without increasing registration that is already high for many people. We're having to walk away from hosting programs that have been running for 25+ years
It has been such a treat to see all three of your faces on one screen together today. Thank you for such great insights! I'm gearing up for a big hybrid conference in December and this is all so helpful to hear.
Absolutely wonderful session - thank you!
