Hi to Mark Potter & people based at Meeting Place MV
Playin’ all that tech like a piano. Sweet!
I’m interested to know what the controller is on the notepad? A custom app?
Hi James, I asked Jim what he is using - ecam for Mac
How can we include the portion of the population unable to access tech?
What have you done in the past few weeks to innovate?
Launched a new version of our pulse survey's called "Work From Home Check In"... tool to allow leaders to still connect emotionally and socially with their teams
Yes local has really taken on a different meaning...
ive noticed some industries have completely removed phone access and its all online. However they have completely neglected timely responses, which is affecting the consumer.how can we get through to these organizations regular communicatuon is vital
I have teamed up with a SA supply chain company and will be adding a large range of wholesale groceries and school supplies to my business (which is name badges). Step 1 will to be to utilise my relationship with @ 40 existing school customers to offer these products in addition to my name badges. Step 2 will be to go to the open market, eg: small neighbourhood supermarkets (IGA, Foodlands & Foodworks) Sales & distribution all managed on-line. Cheers Jack
Ecamm Live for Mac: US$15/month.
The withdrawal of on-line support by Optus has been a major restriction especially for the less technical members of the population
I've taught mindfulness to 40 adults and 4 kids in last 48hrs. normally they would be in a room with me. allows me to reach globally of course. it's the new normal for me. and the awkwardness that we all feel on Zoom is what I use as teaching moments, ie can we be with that uncomfortable feeling. I've also put all my live stuff online in recorded webinars and selling those in as packages. beginning to take off now more and more are comfortable with online etc
Always aim to be optimistic
That's for me, how about you?
Are there lessons from 9/11 and GFC? If yes, what do you think they might be?
I have a question about pricing in a downturn or in uncertain times, What advice do you have about setting your prices? Keep them the same, make them lower or put them up?
This curve has been playing out almost week by week...
In a time of downturn Is it better to have a day by day mentality vs a long term mentality?
Where do you see the future of Universities and the vocational educational sectors?
It has been amazing to see how businesses have pivoted especially in manufacturing, health and medical
The 3D printing trend seems to be re-writing the rules for Intellectual Property, as in the urgent printing of components for ventilators.
Can we expect a flurry of lawsuits when things calm down?
Recording will be made available after the session
Khan Academy is cool. Did some Maths refreshment myself.
i see it in the kids today, they look at education and whilst its moving forward they feel its slowing them down, because this generation are born with high tech expectations
Go on I dare you...
Universities really need to change their method of operation - pivot (I don't like buzzwords though) Some have been moving quickly but most are like super-tankers
i've always tried to TAKE MASSIVE IMPERFECT ACTION each day - seems little trickier now but still doin it
forward thinkers are now accelerating past the traditionalist thinkersnow to keep moving forward 😃😃
It does seem that the future of education will be more fluid than it is now. Kids are learning more than we ever have and certainly have more access to knowledge through their online searches and social media. I know for myself that I am learning more via webinars and online learning than I ever have by sitting in a classroom, because its content that I am interested in. Will the structure we are following now for learning be obsolete in the future?
Awesome! thanks for all the optimism and positivity! This is great! Jim , Wendy and everyone!
Online auctions have really taken off in Australia too
Fantastic Zoominar! Thanks, Jim and Wendy.
Thanks everyone, really appreciate your comments and please feel free to share on socials too
If all Zoom meetings were as excellent as this, then we would not be Zoomed out at all.
