i love the simple spreadsheet - it’s so helpful!

19:49
You can access the Zoom 101 recording here: http://bit.ly/GGSzoom

23:04
I am in the same boat! It’s the most wonderful tool. :-)

23:16
Airtable is a great tool as well!

23:36
Can I book a personal Asana tutorial with Shannon please

24:27
Any thoughts on Asana v. Slack?

25:16
Slack is good for in the moment conversations, but I’ve found it hard to track tasks

25:29
I would say they are not the same — Asana is a much more robust project tool — but Slack is more for instant communication

25:49
FWIW, we’ve integrated Slack AND Asana together, which is working well

26:37
thank you!

27:08
What kind of training and onboarding do you provide to new team members to get them on board with how you use these tools?

29:45
we are finding that people are exhausted by day’s end after many zoom meetings. any tips on how to limit this?

30:19
That’s a great question — we can flag it for later in the webinar as I think we have some content not hat!

30:22
on that*

31:48
I just had a panicked email from a member who has never er used Zoom, said she doesn’t have an iPhone, and is afraid to try my Zoom meeting next week. How can I move her forward?

31:55
This is the article I just mentioned: https://ejewishphilanthropy.com/10-critical-insights-for-successful-online-gatherings/

32:52
Myra, I would set-up a 1x1 phone call with her to troubleshoot a few days in advance. Then move to a test Zoom meeting. Zoom also has a call-in feature for folks not comfortable with video.

33:15
Thank you!

38:22
Have to fun to another meeting (lol), but thank you for hosting this! Very helpful!!

38:35
Great to see you Avra! Thanks for joining us.

38:43
*run - Oy!

44:23
we’ve had mixed experience in encouraging shout outs between team members — inevitably those who work more “behind the scenes” get left out, which clearly is hurtful

46:13
Abby, perhaps that’s a time to encourage a public shout out (behind the scenes)?

46:32
@abby leibman - one of my favorite podcasts focuses specifically on behind-the-scenes people when they shout out. Its called “this week’s unsung heroes”

47:05
more typically I make certain to include them. good to know about these ideas, thanks!

47:25
Love that idea, Mer! Thanks for the rec.

48:31
Remote employees are also worried that their bosses don't think they are working

48:50
(if their org was not remote before)

49:37
So true. I made a decision to not worry about that. It was a hard decision button the end, if we bring on great people and are clear about expectations, they will get projects done.

51:22
Yes, ideally everyone would have You as a boss, then they would not have to worry about that!

51:50
HA!

53:17
One thing that we’ve started doing at our org is a virtual ‘water cooler’ meeting for 20 minute every day for th staff to come together and catch up/chat, etc. It’s optional and opt-in, but works great for those of us thirsting for more contact.

53:22
I think one idea for that Lisa is to take the initiative to regularly update your supervisor or boss on what you’re doing — it puts more burden on the employee but I know as a CEO i don’t often know what everyone is doing and/or what roadblocks have arisen and if they share with me, i feel so much better about them

53:44
Second the water cooler, it has been a light time when we can all joke together, we’ve been missing that culture

53:55
Thanks Abby

55:09
Can you say more about how office hours works on zoom of people coming in and out

58:12
Omg I miss lattes.

58:46
I’m thinking of hiring a virtual executive assistant. Any advice on using them or where to find them??

59:17
Assume ignorance before malice (or as my spouse says, assume positive intent) is SUCH a great value to instill especially when teams are distributed. Tone is more difficult in text/email, coupled with people being more stressed in general lately. Love it!

59:21
Abby: We love Jessica Musa — she has capacity for other clients. You can reach out to her at Jessica@greatergoodstrategy.com. She’s our VA and a GEM.

59:45
thank you Emily!

59:51
Oh yes, Sally! So true. (I always forget this and so appreciate Shan’s reminder.)

01:00:12
One key component underlying everything you have mentioned on this call is INTENTIONALITY. In every aspect of how you run your business and manage team members, you have been super intentional about what experience you want them to have, and what outcomes you want to achieve. That's such an important ingredient in success!

01:00:33
For people who are missing lattes, here's a DIY coffee drink to try: dalgona coffee. https://www.latimes.com/recipe/dalgona-coffee

01:01:44
I have a question if we have time

01:01:51
yes!

01:05:45
So important! Onboarding sets the tone for the entire work experience. Very great to prioritize.

01:05:48
i have one

01:06:45
One flag here: most of us are doing this virtual work set-up for the first time. We ALL got new jobs within the same week.

01:07:43
Thank you for this! I'm running to one of those competing demands that suddenly woke up but wanted to send appreciation.

01:07:51
I have a culture related q if there's time

01:09:11
Jill, I think we can get to it!

01:09:11
I'm hearing a lot about exhaustion. I also think some of that is about movement. People have a stillness anchored to their desks. Stretch, stand, do it together or start at 10 minutes after the hour and let people move between calls. Thank you greater good strategy! Super helpful info!

01:09:17
Or you and I can chat 1x1

01:09:44
Thanks so much for this webinar! I’m excited to see upcoming ones.

01:09:45
This was great! Can't wait to share it with my team.

01:09:48
Thank you for this. It was quite informative and helpful!

01:10:03
This was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Greater Good! You're great and good.

01:10:04
With gratitude!

01:10:19
thank you all!

01:10:27
You guys are awesome!

01:10:30
Thank you!

01:10:34
thank you!!

01:10:35
Thank you!

01:10:43
Emily is so great, Emily’s mom!!
