07:46
Are both options available?

07:59
cost?

08:02
is this integrated into blackboard?

08:10
pricing?

08:19
Who pays? MC or student?

08:28
I assume the type of option is chosen at a departmental basis?

08:37
Sorry, I missed what you said about authentication. Please restate briefly.

08:38
Thanks!

08:47
Each Department chooses the option?

08:48
Thanks!

08:49
Thank you

08:58
Has the entire College already contracted with Examity?

09:53
Pam: Is this service through SmarterProctoring or directly with Examity?

09:55
are you also going to show how we can deploy exams via examity?

10:45
I think Smarter proctoring uses ProctorU, which is different from this

10:52
Is examity compatible with Kurzweil read the web and it not—what work around is available to make it accessible

11:26
This service is administered through Examity, not SmarterProctoring. So you will add the link in Tools in the Bb shell, similar to the way you did with SP

11:38
Is the student browser locked down so that they can't surf to other tabs to search the Internet?

11:39
Examity's compatibility with Respondus, HonoLlock, etc.?

11:59
in a standard format will the student know that the proctor has left the session?

12:02
Is a camera required by a student to take an exam?

12:10
Examity is not a lockdown browser and is not compatible with respondus or honorlock

12:21
Yes, cameras and microphones are required.

12:21
Chromebooks: Auto vs Live?

12:51
Chromebooks are compatible with all levels

13:01
How do you address students that do not have cameras on their PCs?

13:33
How does the proctor monitor Internet searching. then, if it doesn't lockdown?

13:43
Has the College already paid for either Standard or Premium? Live or Automated?

13:44
When you say 'dashboard' ...does it mean that instructors need to make an account?

14:44
What about students who have issues with videos?

14:55
In terms of leveraging FERPS.

15:02
FERPA I mean.

15:02
Some students don't have cameras … we are trying to address that

15:16
Brooke: Chromebook compatibitly -- The info on the web mentiones Chromebook doesn't meet rqmt

15:17
Desktop computer or laptop (tablets, Chromebook and cell phones do not meet our requirements)

15:27
https://www.examity.com/test-takers/

15:45
Ram- the system you are on allowed chromebooks. We have 2 versions of the site.

15:56
Excellent!

15:58
Tks

16:23
Awessome! thank you so much

16:23
Is that version of that site public?

16:46
sites are unique per client and are permissions based.

16:54
got it

17:10
If students are late to the live proctoring session (or any session), how much time before they lose their appointment?

17:31
When will we be able to begin using Examity?

18:07
To add to Leah's question: What's the policy on rescheduling?

18:48
students have 30 minutes before their session goes to a No show. They can reschedule their session at any time if needed.

18:49
Is it compatible with ATI?

19:06
I think it's already available in the tools area on Bb

19:19
Wow, that is so much better! Thanks, Brooke!

20:10
Do instructors have access to the videos ?

20:17
So, we dont need a lockdown browser?

20:56
Can all students in one class take the exam at the same time?

21:09
So we (MC) pays per proctored test or per student tested?

21:53
Bandwidth limits/requirements?

22:10
Do students schedule a time to take the exam?

23:09
Is Examity compatible with Pearson Math Xl My Lab Products?

23:24
Yes!

24:53
Does MC need to approve exams before they are available to students?

25:21
No

25:21
What about these issues. This student has recommendation to cheat. They look feasible. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlcYjjKYvmc

25:47
Is this already in MY BB course sites? Where is it?

25:54
Leah Exams won't be available to students until you are ready for them to be.

25:59
tools

26:26
I don’t see it in my “Tools” area - what is it called? Is it called something else instead of “Examity”?

26:37
Forrest, there was a delay with the previous proctoring system because all exams and accommodations had to be approved by MC

26:48
if the accounting faculty have an interest do you do a demo of the software with wileyplus existing exam using webex, teams or zoom?

26:56
I did a YouTube search on "cheating on online proctored exam" and found many recommendations for how to cheat and be successful. See https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cheating+on+online+proctored+exam

27:07
examity SSO

27:49
How's the student list populated? Do students need to create their profile initially?

29:05
do students need a password?

29:11
to access the exam?

31:04
Yes students need a password. They do not know it, Examity will enter it

31:14
Students needs to create their profile. Brooke will show

31:17
so the password is set by the instructors for examity?

31:22
Correct

31:35
thank you

32:02
Maurice I reviewed the cheating video on youtube. He's basically advertising students use their phones in a "blind spot"

32:10
This is one of the easiest ways we catch students cheating

32:53
How is this different from Respondus Lockdown Browser with Webcam if students still need to install a lockdown browser?

33:46
'm unclear, is this compatible for a student using Kurzweil, Jaws, or Dragon Dictate? Many students use Assistive Technology as an accommodation. Please clarify. Thank you.

33:55
How do students submit their scrap papers?

34:19
If students are allowed scrap paper, do proctors make sure that the paper is ripped up so that students don't share questions with friends?

34:21
Can we specify allowed websites students can access during a test?

36:25
Can that be an existing exam in a different CRN Bb site?

37:00
Pulling over instructions rom one CRN to another

38:46
I have the same question as Barry Speiler

38:51
Can students open links built into test questions?

39:04
@Maurice, no company can claim 100% ability to prevent cheating. Proctoring is a deterrent and its a question of how good of a deterrent is it. Examity is leading our industry in this manner. With live proctoring it is very hard to cheat and get away with it. Very very hard. The videos you showed mostly are geared towards strategies for automated proctoring

39:13
Yes Monique

39:15
Can these instructions be updated after the test has already been created?

39:28
Just making sure

41:39
@ Carlotta - yes

41:41
If there's an error in the exam, can instructors make changes/or edit after the exam's been deployed?

42:00
Yes Ishrat

42:22
Maurice you can see the student and the monitor during the exam recording

42:47
Thank you Forrest! that's awesome

43:55
how or where do we specify an external website that I want students to be able to use?

43:57
Are you available to work 1-on-1 with a professor to set up the first real exam?

44:19
@Ishrat, that is specified in the instructions tab

44:34
In supporting documents, that are uploaded for a particular exam, how are those documents checked to ensure accessibility so that a student with a screen reader will be able to access them? Additionally if a student needs a sign language interpreter for directions, can an interpreter be allowed access into the testing environment?

44:35
How long is the video of the live proctoring saved?

45:21
Great! Thanks.

45:27
Great!

45:46
thank you for asking the question, @ Donna!

45:47
yes interpreters are allowed

46:02
Can that be an existing exam in a different CRN Bb site?Pulling over instructions rom one CRN to another

46:08
non violation videos are saved for 60 days

46:20
videos with cheating evidence (red flags) held for 1 year

46:34
@ Brenda, yes

46:39
Do students have to download a lockdown browser or do students share their screen?

46:46
w/ examity?

47:37
Maurice, IP addresses on our product teams radar but we have to dance the dance and be careful too. Many people see IP addresses monitoring as invasion of privacy

47:49
Ishrat no downloads

47:52
Will schedule details be also show the completion time of the test?

47:54
all browser based

48:02
Do we have the option to impersonate a student? I have needed to do that to help some schedule exams in the past.

48:17
Thank you! Leah you read my mind!!

48:20
Yes students do share their screen with us

48:21
Can the instructor see the time at which each student has scheduled an upcoming exam?

48:37
Yes instructors can see when students have scheduled their exam

48:46
IP's can be spoofed too... so that's likely not going to help. But does examity AI detect these?

48:48
Is Examity compatible with Jaws, Dragon, or Kurzweil?

48:57
Leah that support function falls on us

49:05
we provide practice exams, training videos and live support

49:26
Great! Thanks, Forrest.

49:34
Can instructors access in student preview mode to check?

49:40
@Forrest. It is just a deterent I guess. Cheaters probably know all about dynamic versus static IP addresses and virtual private networks.

49:58
Harry yes we are compatible with those

50:17
We can monitor for VPNs

50:57
I do not think that during COVID MC has been providing student IDs. What about undocumented students that may not have a government issued id?

51:03
Are there browser issues like one browser better than others or the use of add-ins.

51:25
Irobinso we'll work with you to identify an agreeable workaround for these students

51:46
Maurice we allow only Chrome or Edge (because edge built on chrome)

52:39
@Linda Robinson - thanks for asking the question.

52:54
Do you have simple how-to-handouts for students that could be included in the syllabus?

53:04
@Christina, yes

53:19
we also offer free practice exams so that students can "cut their teeth" on this process

53:26
Thanks! That's great.

53:34
also offer short, easily digestible training videos

53:34
I assume there's a shareable video of student portal that we can share with out students?

53:36
Great!

53:43
Do you have a video lecture that covers some of the material Brooke is reviewing? It would be great to have something like that available on Blackboard.

53:45
@Ram yes

53:58
The Assessment Centers will be posting the documents on the Assessment & Testing Center website under Academic Testing for both faculty and students

54:02
@Deepa yes

55:02
can students see their past exams? to review?

56:24
where do you go to see the time a student completed a test?

56:30
How different is the process for the student when connecting to automated vs live proctoring?

57:03
do the grades convert to the BB gradebook?

57:03
What was your answer earlier about student who is disconnected while taking an exam? I missed that

57:48
You're welcome, Ishrat!

57:53
Thank you - I need to leave - Please let me know where this information is going to be shared with MC - Carlotta.Amaduzzi@montgomerycollege.edu

58:10
or do we have to take the grades off of examity and enter them manually into bb gradebook?

58:43
Great, thank you!

59:23
Very informative and helpful session!! Thank you all very much

01:00:18
If the test platform takes a few clicks to get through, how does that work after authentication?

01:00:21
The link in the blackboard is called "Academic Testing" and should be available soon (before the end of this week?)

01:00:43
I agree with Ishrat! I'm excited to try this system...seems much more straightforward than what we were using

01:00:54
Can you please answer the question about external website

01:01:12
If there's a step by step instructions can you please send?

01:02:20
yes please - a document with instructions and all contact information would be greatly appreciated. thank you

01:02:48
if I wantstudents need to use a website for the exam can we set it up?

01:03:09
sorry, can't type as fast as you...

01:05:26
can we have the slides to show the department faculty?

01:05:40
Brooke and Forrest: What if you're off on vacation?

01:05:43
:)

01:06:03
thank you!!

01:06:14
Can students upload files during test?

01:06:51
If students take the exam asynchronously, what will prevent them from saving their solutions (as in Excel files) and distributing them to other class members?

01:07:18
Different versions

01:07:24
Can they use cell phone to take pictures of work to upload?

01:07:36
Can students take screenshot?

01:07:53
or screen recording?

01:08:21
What's the price difference for Live vs Auto for the college?

01:08:36
if that info is public.

01:09:16
Do students pay anything?

01:09:19
do you require students to delete screen recording apps?

01:09:55
Lockdown browser does that

01:09:58
Can the AI detect keyloggers?

01:09:59
REspondus

01:10:39
Thank you very much

01:10:51
I just emailed you about the ATI

01:10:54
Thank you

01:11:01
Thank you!

01:11:05
Thank you very much!

01:11:09
Thanks, sorry I was late. Had another meeting. Very informative

01:11:09
Alright, that's to you both and Pam for organizing this

01:11:16
thanks*

01:11:24
thanks

01:11:25
Thank you!

01:11:27
Thanks !

01:11:35
Thanks
