“The OEC is holding a webinar this Friday, September 18, from 9 to 10:15 am to address masks, testing, and school-age child care options. The webinar will be delivered in both English and Spanish. Watch for an invitation and link to the webinar.”
given the exceptions of snack, lunch, outside and napping, the percent of time masked is small. Not sure we get the effect we are looking for.

if a child is 2.8 in a preschool room, is he/she required to wear mask or is it 3 yrs and up?
Natasha Auguste Williams
my son goes to private school and have to wear mask from the beginning
Children cannot be excluded from child care due to the child not wearing a mask or struggling with mask wearing. However, if parents refuse to allow their child to wear a mask, child care programs must have a policy for that scenario and that policy may include not permitting the child to attend the program.
FYI...Kaplan Early Learning Co has both cloth and disposable masks in stock and can be found and ordered at: https://www.kaplanco.com/ppe
So it is advised that masks are only effective if the masks are replaced with a new mask every time it is taken off... lets just say the basic times of 2 outside times a day, 3 eating times, and nap. That's 6 masks per child a day. If we are really are to use these masks to safe guard everyone, how do you advise how to follow up with this?
Pyramid model info includes a social story on mask wearing: https://challengingbehavior.cbcs.usf.edu/docs/Wearing-Masks_Story.pdf
@Shannon Can't they wear cloth masks?

Masks is one component of a system of protections to address disease prevention. Enhanced cleaning and disinfection continues to be an important step.

Many of you have already contacted members of Congress. Some of you did this multiple times over the summer. Some of you haven't been in touch with Congress -- maybe you've been too busy or don't know who your Congress people are. . This platform https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-congress-we-cant-wait-restart-negotiations-now?source=direct_link& answers all your questions. Using it to email Congress only takes a few minutes. Thank you for raising your voice for child care!

We've had 2 really successful events at childcare programs in Norwalk-it's worth it! We've registered over 25 families who would not have been counted.
Members of Congress are up for re-election in November. This means they're vulnerable to pressure from you! At least $50 billion!
Thanks, all, for the reminders about the importance of continuing the advocacy for childcare
What about FCC programs that have NAFCC accreditation?
