Thank you all for your time and expertise. I really appreciate all that you do for Hamp County !!
could speaker talk slower, hard to follow all this info?
If you have no side effects from the first, does it mean you aren’t likely to have side effects from the second dose?
I had the same reaction with the second dose of the new shingles vaccine. Flu-like symptoms which abated after 24 hours.
Statistically more people had reactions to the second dose, but that is not true of everyone.
Kate Kelly she/her

When will the vaccine roll out be-more or less- for 65+ group?
Can someone speak to how to get a vaccine for non-mobile/ homebound people?
Are people at all vaccine locations given an appointment for the second dose when they get the first? I know that's happening in some places, though I'm not remembering if any I heard of were in Mass.
Kate, your communication for getting vaccinated have been excellent....well organized.
What is the greatest distance of time to receive the second dose?
For those who are under 65, but have 2+ comorbidities, how do they indicate or sign up when the time comes?
*indicate that in order to sign up
Is Asthma a qualifying condition? I don’t see it on the list above.
Can you explain why type 2 but not type 1 diabetes is a comorbidity.
There is a general feeling that Western Mass. has been left behind with less vaccine available compared to the Eastern part of the State. Can someone please address this?
If someone meets the criteria under Phase 1 and filled out an application for the Senior Center clinic. When should they expect to get contacted to schedule an appointment.
Can a person without a car walk in to get a vaccination at a site described a “drive in?”
The cdc recommends that the second dose be given as close to on time as possible
The problem with vaccination sites is that each one has it’s own platform so information entered goes away if the site has no appointments. I spent about 5 hours to get an appointment because of these issues. There needs to be a central registry so one can get signed up at all sites.
Who can go to a mass vaccination site like in Springfield? Anyone?
Any type of diabetes is a comorbidity
I am in phase one and have not been contacted for a vaccine at this point. when should I expect to be called? I have heard nothing after registering
Is the Cooley and Valley Medical just for their clients? Is there a similar program for Baystate clients?
The phone number is 413-587-1219
Georgiann K (she/her)
The registration form doesn't ask for an email address, but indicates that we'll be notified by email.
Yes, each of the hospital systems will be reaching out to their patients to register when they are eligible
@Joanne Levin, they have broken out Type 1 and 2 diabetes in the lists. Type 1 is an increased risk, but not considered a comorbidity in the same way Type 2 is, which is curious
If we're with a Cooley Dickinson partner doctor should we wait until our physician contacts us
Could you please list other places that are doing a waitlist ?
What do you mean by a CDH partner doctor?
do you have to have documentation of your comorbidities and if so what documents are needed?
His practice is part of CDH
CDMG? Yes, patients 75+ are being contacted now
How do we know when the 65 plus group can register ??
The portal is the best was to be sure you get their message
The Northampton Health dept for assistance with vaccination registrations 413-587-1219
How long after 2nd vaccination until you no longer can spread the virus? (Or can you still spread it?)
College educators who teach in person aren’t included with educators, are they?
I attended our State Senator's webinar where it was said that public health departments are not being allocated enough vaccine compared to CVS. Is this still the case? Is there anything we can do about this?
It is still unclear whether those who are vaccinated can spread the virus. It may be possible, so right ow those who have been vaccinated still need to mask, distance, etc.
Could you please let me know when I would need to bring to verify my comorbidity
Carolyn Sailer (she/her)
Once vaccinated, will there be any role for volunteers?
Is the Senior Center currently giving the vaccine or is this in the future?
Senior center has clinics up and running
(Run by the dept of health)
Frequently asked questions: 1) how to show evidence of comorbidities 2) when will people who are 65+ be able to register for the vaccine? Is there a timeline? Also -Where will this recording be available so we can point people to the recording? The information is very helpful. Thank you
If you are getting different vaccines Pfizer and Modern how do we ensure getting the same one as the second vaccine. Thank you

It appears that Amherst is only doing Phase One, and has no waiting list. Is this correct?
My 96 year old mother lives with me and is not mobile. Her doctors office doesn’t have it yet, hospice doesn’t have it for their patients. Do you have any people that can go to homes to vaccinate those that can’t out and are in Phase 1?
when does a person schedule their second dose?
Is photo ID required at the City Clinic? What do I do if I do not have photo ID or are undocumented?
Must i have the second dose of the same vaccine at the same site?
Are the ingredients you mentioned that are likely to cause an allergic reaction also in the flu vaccine (i.e polyethylene glycol)?
Once you have received your vaccination, you’ll receive a follow up email with a link to register for your second dose.
Sorry, I logged in late. Is there any guess as to when kids will get the vaccine?
Would it help to call the Governor and ask him to send more vaccine to W. Mass?
Do you have to live in Hampshire County to use the Senior Center Clinic?
I get a weird reaction to flu vaccine—temp >105F, shaking chills for about 6 hr, then all better; happened twice, then tylenol and benadryl kept it down to 101F. Are there any suggestions that this might happen with this vaccine—identical materials as vehicles or adjuvants, for example?
Imnot sure, but I think flu vaccine may have sorbitol in it. I would check with an allergist if you have had a severe reaction to flu vaccine
Odd question...I thought I read that folks working in manufacturing fall into the second phase? I work for a company that makes a product that is used on the vials of the vaccine. Do our employees need show proof of this if this is correct?
Any info about higher ed folks being added to phase 2 ?
I’d like to know that, too
How will you adjust the 21/8 day appts if you are not allotted that vaccine type in that time period?
yes re: higher ed people
Higher ed is listed under Phase 3
I’d recommend that folks look at the mass.gov site to look at the details re who is in what phase.
Mayor Nicole LaChapelle
wow - thank you for a very comprehensive presentation and conversation!
Northampton Senior Center members can call (413) 584-7979 for information on safe, local transportation resources to get to/from vaccine appointment. SC membership and 24-48 hours' notice is required.
Here is the link to the phases on the state site.
can I sign up for a waiting list now if I am in the 65+ bullet?
bear hill, yes at northamptonma.gov under 65+ tab for the waiting list
Alex Risley Schroeder
My elderly mom's PCA (private hire) was told she was not eligible. But I think PCAs were part of Phase One.
could you also please send those links and information to email@example.com ? Thank you
PCAs are part of phase one (already eligible)
i didn’t get a confirmation either, like marjorie hess. signed up for waiting list last week
My 93 year old mother also didn’t receive a confirmation.
I think she is signed up for the waiting list but is one of the people who looks for confirmation to the waiting list something we hope to start confirming so they aren’t guessing if they are on the wait list
The phone number is 413-587-1219
name: karen bercovici. did not receive email that i was on waiting list though signed up last week.
For the 65 and over waiting list, should I have received a confirmation or not until it's time to make an appointment? Is there any way to know for sure that I'm on the waiting list?
Will those of us who signed up for the waitlist for the second bullet point of Phase 2 get an email confirmation to let us know that we are now on the waitlist?
At this time an email is not sent when you register for a specific waitlist.
Is there any special category for other workers who go into people's homes - e.g., plumbers, other repair people. Or are they just in Phase 3 if they don't otherwise qualify for an earlier phase?
me too. A centralized website that would tell which venues in the area are active. That would stop some of us futilely trying to contact CVS or BigY, for example. Also tell us where the venue is in scheduling , so we can know whether to pursue scheduling with you.
Could you send those emails retrospectively, Kate? So we know we are on waiting list (I think I am).
it seems college students fall into the general public phase? In person colleges with residential students, dining together as well as in person classes for this group who additionally go to different states for school. Seems this group would reduce cases and spread.
