Will this information (how to put them into NHSEIS) be included in the new Accommodations and Modifications trainings that the department will be conducting?
Yes, please. Thank you!
Does the kindergarten date added to the first page prevent you from using the 3-5 setting? I have a student turning 6 in July, IEP ends in May. I amended and it won't let me keep 3-5 setting.
Can you use 3-5 in Kindergarten if they are still 5 in k?
Student is not 6 yet. Do you use 3-5 for kindergarten or just after they turn 6?
when will the trainings be held?
Do you know when the new NHSEIS User manual will be out?
Nov 9, is that a specific NHSEIS training? Not the DOE/Accommodations+Modifications?
Calendar of events/trainings can be found on the website?
This is tremendously helpful!
Deborah, yes...as well as on NHSEIS Main page
For NHSEIS....for others on the DOE page
Will there be a memo on 3-5/K practice change? Would be helpful
How was the NHSEIS stakeholder group engaged in the 3-5 practice change?
Do we need to complete this for EVERY student or only the ones who we have determined require comp ed?
So this is only for compensatory services correct?
That is my wuestion as well
agree - need clarification quickly as we are all probably gravely concerned about that answer
Will we have to provide documentation stating that these services were compensatory. I am wondering if services that were given as a preventative measure would be countable, but may be difficult to provide documentation.
We cannot use the custom section? It would have been helpful to know that ahead of time. Thoughts?
What is the general timeline for this?
when will this be ready?
so if the student does not need comp ed we do not need to include them on the form
We have not been adding comp ed into IEPs unless the student is up for an IEP renewal, per previous guidance. Is this still accurate?
I’m sorry if I missed this- is this just being collected to be used to determine what grant funds may need to be applied for at the DOE level? Or will this be used for other purposes?
Why are we being asked to document agreed upon compensatory education services in NHSEIS for meetings that were not part of the IEP process?
If we submitted for Medicaid reimbursement and/or used CARES funds can we still submit for Comp Ed services through this document?
Do we include our students who are attending public chartered schools?
Jeanette S - Central Office Portsmouth
how will you determine the cost associated with each service?
Is this only for comp ed that is costing the district additional money?
Could you please indicate where the training calendar can be found on the Site.. I went in and could not find? Home> Who We Are> Division of Learner Support > Bureau of Student Support >Special Education > New Hampshire Special Education Information System
It is, 3rd section down
Do these funds include the cost of more staff to support remote learning?
Will there be any relief for costs associated with Executive Order 64. For example, my transportation costs have doubled (hybrid model- bringing students in for services on non-cohort days).
Does OSEP indicate IEPs should be used to gather the data they are requesting?
when is the comp ed info due back?
I thought we had until November 15
Is there a period where the comp ed services must be done? Ex....could they take place during summer 2021 in order not to pull child out of gen ed?
You may not know this yet, but if there are additional funds available to districts for comp ed- do you know if those funds need to be expended by Dec 31 2020?
Or will districts have until 2021?
