Adrian, have you read Terry Fallis’ (sp?) humorous fiction, The Best Laid Plans, and it’s sequel (The High Road?) set in Ottawa and in Parliament

I was certainly puzzled by whatever happened in the federal Green Party.

Surprised to learn, Chad, that Liberal is it in Montreal - I live in Ontario and have thought of Quebec as a leader in green values for a long time
Imtiaz Popat
39:00
Quebec was a leader in green movement for a long time
Chad Walcott
39:39
Quebec is a leader in green policies but we never really vote green unfortunately
Andy Shadrack
39:41
Adrian I have been with the Party since in 1993. In 2004 in BC we actually created a leaflet in Chinese, and in the UK in 2015 I was able to find a canvass specialist who spoke several Eastern European languages. What are we doing to promote creation of materials in other languages?
Imtiaz Popat
40:16
There is a difference between being valued and being used as token of colour.
Kyle Labelle (kai)
40:20
I might be mistaken, but I think what Chad said is that the Black community in Montreal, generally speaking, heavily supports the liberal party.
Maria Kasstan
40:47
Yes, Quebecois Greens first told us that there would be computer communication at the first national convention in 1983.
Julie Alexander
40:47
Yes, Kyle, thank you for clarifying
Adrian Currie (he/him) Ontario Rep to Federal Council
42:46
Good question Andy … I would say the first thing we have to do is get our house in order and get our act together. Once we do, then we can focus on Regional Communication and creating promo material which is representative of our members.
karla Villagomez Fajardo
43:09
Our party supports social justice and inclusivity and aims to work in an anti oppressive and anti racist lense, do you think the green party is doing enough to honour those goals? I think there is intent to bring in diverse people, however from my own experience I am not sure there is enough of an understanding of systemic barriers, and the red tape that exists for some people. Where are rooms for improvement?
Imtiaz Popat
44:18
C'est bien
karla Villagomez Fajardo
44:46
because when I see how our leader was treated, and when I go to green party events I start to really second guess things... my friend cautioned me about being a party's "token" and I shut that down fast, but then the more time I spend in the party the more I start to feel unsure.
Imtiaz Popat
45:42
