Is there a limit or percentage of kids who can graduate based on their IEP or because you said this is individualiozed, there is no limit?

35:44
Transition Coordinator- do we need to document the pathway which students will graduate in the iEP or the NOREP?

40:10
Is a student with ID who is receiving modified curriculum in a life skills program expected to take Keystones?

42:27
School Counselor

44:20
Does the student need to graduate on IEP goals vs credits to use the IEP pathway for graduation?

44:21
What if a student did not sit in a trigger course, but would be able to satisfy an alternative pathway. Can they graduate on that alternative pathway, or because they did not sit in the trigger course is their only option graduating on IEP goals?

44:35
Do students who defer their diploma this year and do a 13th year have to complete their 158 pathway this year or next year?

45:34
Where will these recordings be posted and when?

46:03
Will the school district be required to submit data collected as proof that IEP goals are met?

46:22
How can a kid take a PBA if they have never taken the course?

46:32
If graduating by IEP based goals, does that have to be determined by a specific grade/school year?

46:35
Postings will appear in about a week or two (after ADA) with the Grad Req Toolkit on SAS

46:51
I was looking for last week's recording and did not see it on the Act 158 Pathways to Graduation Toolkit page on SAS. Has it been posted?

47:46
It takes a while to do the ADA compliance and closed captioning.

47:47
what examples count for Industry-based competency certifications?

what examples count for Industry-based competency certifications?

49:47
We'll be addressing IRCs during the 11/8 Office Hour

53:44
Where can I find the 10/18 meeting recording ?

54:05
The PP will be posted on SAS along with the recording.

54:15
What is the rationale behind counting the Keystone Diploma against the LEA?

54:49
Recordings must be checked for ADA compliance, which may take a week or two before posting

55:05
Is that chart available online?

55:58
Is the Keystone Diploma only available to students who have experienced educational instability??

56:01
Jessica - we'll make it available

56:20
Chris - yes

56:45
Do the Act 1 students fall into the waiver category or not?

57:06
Is there a pathway for students who come to US at 17 or 18 and have limited or no English and there are no records of previous schooling?

57:37
Yes, ELL support and guidance is needed!

59:13
If students who continued past their 12th grade year LAST year, do they need to abide by the ACT 158 requirements?

01:01:04
What is the rationale for counting students who receive a Keystone Diploma against a school?

01:02:32
Does Act 1 apply to students experiencing educational instability who have changed schools within a district? For example, a student who enters foster care and moves across town and enrolls in a different school in the same district.

01:06:14
Please note that in order for a student to be granted a waiver (regardless of status - EL, education instability, etc.), the student must meet locally established grade-based requirements for each Keystone content area in which the student does not have a numeric or a non-numeric Proficient or Advanced.

01:07:38
If we have students in an out placement or IU placement, is the home district responsible for reporting their pathway or is the placement responsible?

01:08:42
The graduating (diploma-granting) entity reports the student in the December Grad Report in the FRCPP

01:09:18
The Grad Report will be covered during the 1/10/23 office hour

01:09:47
Many of my students with IEP's are enrolled in a vo-technical school. Does the OSHA 10 count as a CTE certification?

01:09:57
Where on the SAS website will these recordings be?

01:10:18

01:10:36

01:11:25
Amy - I specifically looking for the 10/18 - Keystone Content

01:13:45
@Eric Shepherd - switching schools within an LEA does not qualify a student for the protections of Act 1.

01:13:52
It takes a week or two to ensure a recording is ADA compliant before it may be posted. The 10/18 recording should be posted shortly at https://pdesas.org/Page/Viewer/ViewPage/56?SectionPageItemId=12258

01:15:48
(District Assessment Coordinator) If a student does NOT take a trigger course (and therefore can not take a PBA on that content), they are not able to graduate on a waiver. Is this correct? We have ELLs that come in their junior year and never take the trigger course. They can not graduate on a waiver?

01:15:54
@Kris Kaufman - By requesting the Keystone Diploma, the school entity is saying that they cannot issue a diploma for the student. This means that the student is considered a non-graduate at the local level. This is why it counts against the cohort graduation rate.

01:16:31
SHAI - locally established grade-based requirements are not limited to trigger courses.

01:18:33
As long as a course covers the content, it may be considered a local requirements (regardless of whether it's a trigger course). And LEAs may design their own PBAs to be given whenever they deem appropriate.

01:18:52
@Amy, it said that any student granted a waiver must meet locally established grade based requirements for each Keystone content area. What does this mean, then?

01:19:08
Are there implications for the students who receive a keystone diploma?

01:19:46
Thank your for your time!

01:19:55
how can we get access to today's presentation and the one on October 18th.

01:20:02
locally established grade-based requirements are covered in length during the 10/18 office hour. it should be posted shortly.

01:20:09
IHEs are aware of the law and should treat those equally. If there are concerns, they should be referred to the Bureau of Higher Education.

01:20:53
@Rebecca Walker - The Keystone Diploma has the full force of an LEA issued diploma. PDE has been in contact with higher education, the military, and others to ensure it is received as such. Is this what you meant by "implications?"

01:21:04
