Can you share recommended readings?

Interested in your thoughts on why American culture is so calloused/numb to violence; why we crave watching it in media; why guns are so popular, and why we seem to revere / hero-ize members of the military -- including/especially among LDS? Being married to a European, rated R content for many overseas isn't sexual content, but violent content.

Conservative v. Liberal balance is all well and good, but we find ourselves in the age of Trump where we've moved beyond the norms of decency and find ourselves on the brink of toxic nationalism and the undermining of Democracy. How do we proceed when so many of the past standards are being swallowed up in the age of disinformation, the normalization of lies, and the rallying around a "strong man"?

Yes, Peace is dependent on climate justice and social justice. So peacemaking is truly a work that must address structural, societal injustices.

If everyone can agree that peace feels good, and we seek pleasure, does dominance feel better than peace?

That is an interesting neurobiological question. For some, I'm sure that's true. Does the saving grace of Christ change our minds from this "natural man" stance to the "peacemaker as the child of God" way of being?

perhaps one of the truths we should not "shrink from" is to simply model how to move "Beyond Good and Evil" and just love people as they are
