Have you pivoted your business?
Wendy Perry
23:27
If yes, how?
Sharon Boath
23:41

annie harvey
24:12
first pivot for me is all my face-to-face speaking/workshops now 'live' over zoom or recorded and put on to a membership platform and app
RealtimeHeartBased Community Facilitator
24:17
yes, pivoted from events/markets, suddenly have to move shop online and re-learning how to run and market online from home
Suzanne Phillips
25:30
My design business is still plodding along, with a few graphic design jobs and textile design sales. I started to make face-masks but they seem to be not as needed now in SA. I’ve had to postpone my photo studio customers. I believe I can open again now, but just without makeup artists. I will open my online shop again for Australian customers as my overseas orders are very delayed.
Wendy Perry
26:17
When you saw the shutdowns happen, what was your reactions?
RealtimeHeartBased Community Facilitator
28:26
working extra hard to doing free cooking lessons teaching my customers how to use my sauces, created extra menus, doing free deliveries around Adelaide - extra work to take on for free, however, it created loyalties and personal connections
Suzanne Phillips
29:56
My reactions: At first I was in shock and afraid to leave the home as I’m in a few risk groups. Now I am enjoying it and loved the homeschooling!
Jo Vabolis
30:41
I worked in the VET sector for nearly 25 years. Despite evidence to the contrary, there was a persistent belief that online learning would not only be cheaper but also quicker and would require minimal teaching input.
Eddie Blass
31:32
The most important person in online learning is the teacher - I think that is what people don't understand....
annie harvey
32:14
I agree Eddie!
Eddie Blass
32:28
Glad you're loving the homeschooling Suzanne
Jo Vabolis
32:51
Absolutely, Eddie!
Rachael Runner
33:06
It is good to bring the experience from Bali in to our homes - well done!
Suzanne Phillips
33:58
Thanks Eddie, but I did send my daughter back to school yesterday to make sure she doesn’t fall behind as the teacher wasn’t as active online anymore.
Wendy Perry
34:58
Have you found any new markets?
annie harvey
35:41
i have my first face to face workshop booking next week with teachers - i must remember to take my uggs off!

I'm looking at this as a time to reflect on what I want to keep hold of and what I can do differently in the future. It's helping me maintain a positive mindset.
Sandra Senn
44:05
100% to the brainstorming part but 2 children at home makes bringing it to life the hard part. That's when the motivation kick in the butt works :)
Wendy Perry
47:49
what will you keep hold of and take with you into the next phase?
Sharon Boath
48:46
I agree Eddie, I have become so much more extroverted and self confident online than I ever were in person! More and more ambivert every day!
RealtimeHeartBased Community Facilitator
48:53
I will keep practicing videos, create more cooking videos, more Zoom cooking private lessons.
Jo Vabolis
50:17
One thing I've started doing is being more selective about how I spend my time (surprising, considering I've had more free time than usual!).
Eddie Blass
51:34
Jo - is that because it's easier to say 'the internet is dodgy'?
RealtimeHeartBased Community Facilitator
52:03

Eddie, I didn't finish year 11 and ending up as a business analyst out sourcing companies and living in 3 different countries at the same time. School is important but building confidence in a person is so much more important.
