are there templates for the room and board agreement

I have helped families to make up there own. SSA does not have a template

if you are the 18 year olds guardian does that effect anything in terms of the room sns board agreement or anything else

Room and board refers only to the money for shared household expenses

Does parent documentation of the work situation, things like hallucinations, anxieties, etc work or should you report that to a therapist or medical person make it more official?

if you do collect room and board from your adult child I believe you then have to claim it on your taxes

The room & board is actually having the person pay their "fair share of household expenses", not rent. I can send out additional info on this, but people could also consult their tax professional

what if my adult child work 12 hours a week in the summer do I have to report the income to the federal government?

The DDS Caitlin refers to in presentation is Disability Determination services and is specific to SSA.. DDS, Department of Developmental Services would be the other agency besides DMH that a person may be connected to.

Any income must be reported to SSA if on SSI, even 12 hours in the summer. This would be the responsibility of the Rep Payee

You can do by phone, as Rep Payee, or on the app. Info on this is in the Rep Payee handbook published by SSA

if you are applying for adult ssi at 18 is it correct to say you can’t start it earlier than the 18th birthday.? online it was sending me to the child disability form so I’m assuming it’s best to wait

If you do a setup with shared expenses do you (the parents) need to claim that as income to the IRS.

How do we take “portion of money” out for room and board to have a record of it, if they do not yet have SSi money. She has no savings.
