Hello Everyone! As we sign in, let’s please turn off our video and audio feeds, so that David has a clear channel through which to make his presentation. We will certainly have a Q&A session toward the end. Please take notes and have your questions ready! In fact, it would be great if you type your questions up and enter them into the chat line. Enjoy! (and Thanks David, for making this happen) Keith Murlless

12:02
Hi! Is there anything in particular that attendees should have in front of them during the presentation? thanks!

12:22
Negative. No each items are necessary.

18:15
yes

18:17
Yes

21:32
If you have a question now, go ahead and text it into this chat stream and I’ll interrupt David

24:32
Why does it double, Who established that the rank does that?

25:07
Is this rank the same as the one Wendy sent out in an excel sheet?

26:23
Will this presentation be sent out to all club directors

26:33
I view it as a punishment too

26:39
If a player was on a 14 last year with a team rank of 106 and this player is now playing on 16s team. Does the 106 bring the older team's rank (35) down?

27:35
thanks

27:59
Before we get drawn into too many LIVE AUDIO questions, let’s let David stay in flow with his presentation… most of your questions will be answered.

28:28
Still, feel free to type questions in: David can choose whether to answer immediately, or later in the show

31:44
We will need time to resubmit our seeding files to account for players who will fall into the younger categories

34:04
Stephen (and everyone): We completely understand! Lots of us had incomplete understanding early, or didn’t have all the necessary information to hand at that time. David and I are generating team-by-team replies that will go to the Club Directors, asking for specifically highlighted information, and giving everyone a chance to update (everything!)

35:04
Thank you!

35:38
To be fair, the instructions at the top of the seeding excel sheet it said, RMR would help fill it in if we didn't know information.

35:52
Wasn’t this already due last Monday by 5p?

36:30
Yeah, I get that part...I meant the ranking stuff

37:50
is there a way to verify our information was submitted correctly

37:59
when you say roster do you mean the seeding form? When are rosters for tournaments due?

38:26
To the earlier question: This presentation is being recorded and will made available on the RMR website. You can watch it anytime!

45:43
So, no crossover, no 35 points?

46:16
LTVBC: YES “is there a way to verify our information was submitted correctly?” We will be sending the team rosters, with individual nd team composite strength ranking. You’ll be able to verify that what you think is true, is in the system. Also, you’re “certifying” who is on your roster, and what we all believe each of their SRs to be. That way we all start with a clear understanding.

47:55
The next step is that when we think we have the majority of the team strength ratings worked out and confirmed, (hopefully this week) we’ll publish the overall team rankings for each age group. This might bring up some more questions, and we’ll have time to discuss those questions, or identify any errors.

59:52
If 14s play 15s they ranking could go down even in different seasons?

01:06:35
With all this shifting, it is going to be a logistical issue for WHERE we are assigned to play. None of us like knowing on Wednesday we are scheduled to play in Sterling and then because of shuffling, we are now playing in Pueblo. This is a HUGE issue and I really don't want this new SOS to mess with the scheduling of the locations. Thanks

01:10:06
my comment is in response to Jess asking about the deadlines for changing playing in divisions.

01:11:10
Yep!

01:12:33
When will the intial seeding be released for Power 1?

01:13:08
Thank you.

01:23:23
I am wondering does Classic and Showdown and such have any effect on ranking?

01:27:49
While David is demonstrating, I thought I’d speak to the concern that SOS will reduce the “lead time” that teams have to plan their travel. We totally understand just how important this is to clubs as they plan (and budget!) And yes, we may very well see some reduction of the lead time. That said, please know that we WILL work in Committee to address this issue as well as we possibly can. We understand what you’re asking for, and why!

01:28:11
these rankings will impact national tournaments though, correct? (such as Crossroads)

01:28:57
The flip side, of course, is that Clubs want their teams to play “best competition” every time. Knowing that you’ll be in Pueblo isn’t so valuable, if that pool is full of teams really different (stronger or weaker) from your team. The point here is that there are both pros and cons to any system. But yes, we’ll work to find a “best fit!”

01:30:09
yes, thanks

01:31:55
David nice work. Thank you!

01:32:29
Thanks David, agreed. Tough job, you’re doing great.

01:32:32
Thanks David! Great job.

01:32:37
Thanks all.

01:32:41
Thanks David!

01:32:59
Agreed! Thank you to everyone for all the hardwork!

01:33:00
Thank you
