Are you collecting data for minority owned businesses?
Florencia Gutierrez

It would be really useful to see if minority owned businesses are impacted disproportionately.

We have a research project underway to produce estimates by owner characteristics. We hope to release data soon but do not have a time estimate yet for this.

Do you have any insight on why the national housing insecurity rate decreased some much from phase 1 to phase 2? (If I remember correctly, it was closer to 25% during phase 1, and is down to 7% for week 14). Thanks so much for the helpful presentation!

yes, they are being impacted disproportionately more so because of a lack of network connections with city officials, politicians, banks etc

The lengthened data collection period in Phase 2 - extended from 6 to 13 days, brings in more households which may be harder to collect data from. We are still learning, but would treat Phase 2 as a little bit of a break in series from Phase 1. The interview in Phase 2 is also longer and has more missingness. The partial rate increased from about 25% to 33% from phase 1 to 2.
