How did you know when and what feeling were you looking to achieve with the exit of each company?
My franchise company is at a turning point in our growth. We have 20ish active locations having various levels of success. The big question going forward is how we should grow to optimize autonomy and possible exit price (if we choose to go that route). Currently (and in the past) growth was achieved by bringing on more franchisees. That has left us with a couple of growth-oriented top performers, a few middling operators, and some that need to be moved up or out. Thinking of buying out the low performers and growing more with a corporate team instead of bringing on additional franchisees. Go deeper in markets we are already in instead of spreading ourselves to more markets.
