Providing Feedback and Grading Assignments in Teams - Shared screen with speaker view
Hello everyone...another day....the sun is shining here in my city....looking forward to another informative and fun webinar with Alana! :-)
Hi from Glen Cove - Long Island.
sorry, should have said from Hornell, NY
I’ve got another meeting after this. Can we do the lesson first? Would that be ok?
Do the grade we put into teams sync with PowerSchool?
My students are sending their work through Remind and Messages. Is it possible to move these files to be graded? How do I teach my students to submit their work?
If a student turns it in and it's not completed correctly, can I send it back to them with a comment to edit it before putting in an actual grade? Can I return it ungraded?
Sure walk it through
Can you add a grace period to the previous due date?
nope. I have used class note book but not teams. And I love my class notebook
I just created my teams after your first workshop. I haven't pushed anything out to my kids yet.
I set up my own children as my students an I've been having trouble with the browser. I can't open assignments.
Hi Alana, I have given feedback to our students but I haven't seen any response back from them as of yet.
I can't unmute myself.
I have put it in my teams but want to know if I add to my notebook in teams does it show up in my notebook app as well?
how can students comment in a powerpoint?
Same here Alana. Hopping off to get ready for my next call. Thank you so much for today!
I did just start using this. I successfully set up an assignment and I have 1 kid who has turned it in... waiting for more and then I’m going to try the feedback features you introduced today.
Andy, I am the same...I have created Class Notebooks in One Note for the 8 different Business Courses that I teach each year. From yesterday's webinar on Assignments with Alana, I had great advice from other viewers and Alana to just use the Assignment feature in TEAMS and keep my Class Notebook. From my understanding yesterday, we can upload our Class Notebook from One Note into TEAMS. Is that correct Alana? Not as much work involved that way. :-)
you can up load easily but once you do, you cannot delete it from teams. I wish I had not jumped the gun
ok Andy...thanks for the heads up on that! Yes, Alana, that is correct...I couldn't remember Marcia's name :-)
no I meant not put the classnote book in teams. Our school wants us to start using teams during this time period. Mind you, our students do not know it
I wished I would have started earlier. I have had my students start using word a few months back via Office 365. I think they'll be good. They are resilient!
thanks for that input and reminder. Take it slowly
My students have so many questions about the assignments. I would like to make a small teaching video for my students to review. Where is the best place to put it so my students can see it?
Yes, our district is using the policy of keeping our students "academically engaged" and not beginning any new content. As my superintendent likes to say..."unchartered territory for everyone". And I agree, our kiddos are more resilient than we may be aware! :-)

Thanks again Alana...looking forward to tomorrow. Yes, the emails from NYSCATE and Sean have all that in there! Thank you :-)
Thank you, awesome as usual!
Thanks Alana see you tomorrow! Great job
