Afternoon all. I seem to remember Salix being grants but then changed to loans. Is that still the case. Thanks Derek
Ian Munro
37:46
Hi Derek the recent offer does say grants - but on first come first serve basis - which of course is not ideal
Robert Mitchell

Not a question, but an early reflection. There won't be a local authority in the UK that isn't trying to reduce it's carbon footprint. Colleges employ many thousands of staff, and support hundreds of thousands of students, all of whom can help to join forces locally to increase recycling, reduce waste, promote biodiversity etc.

The Climate Commission for UK College and University Students and Leaders waslaunched in November 2019 with the aim to produce a clear, consistent and cohesiveresponse to the climate emergency. AoC is a founder member of the commissionalong with EAUC, Universities UK and GuildHE. These four partner organisationsrepresent 420 institutions; 4.7m students; 540,000 staff; and £43bn turnoverCommissioners have been appointed from each partner and Steve is the AoC and FE Commissioner

Great responses - thanks. Clearly, with climate action being such a high priority for young people, it has almost become as important as "hygiene factors" such as H&S and Safeguarding. Students won't go to colleges that don't demonstrate the highest climate action ambition.
