another method to reduce the sensitivity of the amygdala (scientifically proven - see Richard Davidson's work) is meditation. :-)

I agree anger is useful and normal, when it is appropriate for the situation. I had anger for 43 years and my anger covered up my true emotions. Anger always comes with a buddy

@ Rebecca I use mindfulness mediation as well and it allows me to "feel" when I do not know what the emotion is and can not name it
I can change my brain!
I wasn't allowed to express anger. Only the men in my family could. The girls and women who did were punished.
