We have had 72 requests for Narcan vial mail from the PORI site to date

33:58
Thanks for the update, Anita! Incredible work.

35:25
Thank you Rachael. Great work as always.

36:27
Great work from the Recovery Friendly Workplaces, thanks Jonathan!

36:33
A great example of team-community efforts. Thank you, community partners!

38:09
Rachael, can someone from DOH come to our monthly Homeless Street Outreach meeting to present the campaign so we can make sure all those outreach workers have Narcan too?

39:27
Yes, absolutely. Great idea. I'll connect with Jenn to see what we can do.

39:41
.

41:12
Perfect, thanks! The next Statewide Outreach meeting is Monday, February 1st at 4:30am via Zoom. Let me know who can attend and I will add you all to the agenda.

41:23
4:30pm!

41:34
I would love to have you at one of our virtual town halls rachael. is that possible

41:50
Great, feel free to send us an invitation to get things started. Thank you, Karen.

42:45
thanks, Karen. we look forward to being there.

43:15
Hi Linda. Sure, feel free to email me about your idea. Perhaps another Drug Overdose Prevention Program team member might like to join as well.

46:37
ok thanks so much

48:06
What are overdose prevention protocols?

51:05
Anything about promotion of expanding the initiation of MAT in the ED?

51:08
I would be curious how these recommendations align with our larger Task Force Plan & Pillars. The Plan has a lot of metrics that might align here

52:40
Senator Miller, that did not come up at either October or December meeting, but I believe it has been a recommendation in the past.

52:47
Senator Miller— we are conducting an enhanced implementation effort for ED buprenorphine in all RI EDs

52:51
Happy to discuss at greater length

53:49
The RI Business Group on Health can assist with recruiting more employers to become recovery friendly workplaces. There is still a significant issue with stigma in the business community that needs to be addressed in order for recruitment to be successful.

57:30
And if you are interested in participating in a racial justice discussion about race being a social construct not a biological one please join us for a viewing of the PBS special about that in February. https://racialjusticefeb2021.eventbrite.com

01:02:28
What do they mean by self-help groups/

01:02:31
?

01:05:36
I’ve attended several of Jon’s Words Matter presentations. I’d like to have him do a training for CODAC.

01:15:16
Waiving court fees is a fantastic way to help people to sustain a quality life in long-term recovery! Might I also suggest integrating DMV/Traffic Tribunal costs associated with lifting a suspension for driver's licenses as well.

01:15:33
Wow! How do we get these tools to more providers?

01:16:15
Great resource! Wish that was around 20 years ago

01:16:49
would presenting this as to be expanded as legislation help?

01:16:52
Such an amazing site and resource!!

01:18:11
The ery Workgroup is doing recovery mapping..this would be a great addition

01:21:42
Outstanding presentation and very useful resource. I will broadcast this through Care Transformation Collaborative.

01:21:51
Great job Rahul! Many great resources. Thank you.

01:22:18
Wonderful presentation - thanks Rahul!!

01:22:30
Thank you Rahul

01:22:32
https://docsforhealth.org/

01:22:33
great resources

01:22:38
Very compelling presentation!!

01:22:59
great presentation Dr.

01:23:00
Thank you, Rahul!

01:23:17
Amazing work, TY

01:23:58
Thank you Rahul

01:25:15
Finally, hope for a break thru the racial barrier to treatment!

01:27:12
And thankfully, we have Dr. Etienne (a Black physician) as Medical Director at Roger Williams In-Pt Detox!

01:27:28
Thanks for making it better for our clients! So critical for us all to acknowledge the structural racism that underlies all our systems AND we all need to work to break down these barriers for communities of color.

01:27:43
I second this Diane - Dr Etienne is a gem!

01:27:55
Dr E is the best :)

01:28:24
And a close friend of mine also....he is awesome!

01:30:18
do we know how many letters were written on behalf of patients vs how many had a similar case for whom the letters may have been effective?

01:33:29
regarding Linda's question...has this project excluded or included the role, history, efficacy, and success of methadone and vivitrol in a broad-based solution ?

01:37:43
Thank you, Rahul! Kudos for helping the medical community to identify their role in patient advocacy and supporting them in that role with this resource. Huge progress!

01:38:57
Have you had conversations with ASAM or AMA about expanding this regionally or nationally? This is so good, it needs to be replicated - thank you so much!

01:39:20
We can take this information to a wider scope of treatment and recovery advocates via recovery mapping as a resource

01:39:28
Is there a screening tool you use?

01:39:30
I am the current president of RISAM I will forward to ASAM

01:40:33
Similar findings for the RI Coalition for the Homeless legal clinic intervention with Megan Smith at the House of Hope. The advocacy at court for those living on the streets changed the path for constituents!

01:41:08
We hope to invite Dr. Vanjani to the next combined RISAM / RIPS meeting.

01:41:24
Director_ if there is time may I speak to the Boston Globe article ?

01:42:33
I think we have some new money laying around via SAMHSA.....evalutation and/or expansion of this project is something I would strongly suggest.

01:43:20
Great idea Jonathan! Let’s expand!

01:44:01
I have forwarded the link to CTC-RI to share with the Community Health Teams across the state working as an extension of primary care to address BH and SDOH patient needs.

01:44:06
Let's not wait 6 months - maybe we can find resources to get this done in a third of that time

01:44:54
I know the AMA well and will share this information with their Opioid Task Force which continues to be chaired by Patricia Harris, M.D.

01:46:07
thanks you Gordon, happy to help in any way i can, let me know how after you talk to Pat

01:49:41
I have a public comment that I can elaborate on - The Coalition To Save Lives will be hosting a candlelight vigil and car funeral procession to honor those who we have lost from overdose in 2020, as well as to urge policymakers to take on evidence-based policies (including those suggested by this task force). The event will be Sunday Jan 24 at 2pm, we will start at 10 Elmwood Ave in Providence and drive to the statehouse for a short speaking program

01:49:55
(Everything will be outside, distanced, and masked)

01:49:55
Thanks all! I would love to talk about how to get this out. IT's definitely not my specialty. I'm at 401-410-4011 and rahul_vanjani@brown.edu.

01:49:59
So excited!

01:50:35
Excellent information Rahul! Great data.

01:50:59
Thank you for this important work Rahul!
