q) It's not okay for people to be who they are if the way they are is attacking and controlling....Its not helpful in a May They Be Well sense to abide it. Can you say something about times where the power of No is important. Not listening and welcoming others, but saying No. People have wrong views all the time and attack with them... Welcoming and listening can only take you so far sometimes.

Q. I found this a sad MB. During my life I've had 3 very Good Friends who have gone. If a Good Friend came to my door, it would be a ghost. How do you suggest doing this second stage?

thankyou, just beautiful.. I'm dealing with illness and have not been outside my gate since march... this last weekend I hit a wall and I was in hard on myself.. then I started practicing gratatude for what I have.. ie. beautiful garden.. but your wise words will help me take my metta towards myself and others. oh and I know that anger too.. kindness. kindness. kindness all the way.. thankyou.

Q I used my old Head where I used to teach as my difficult person. I found met with her very hard as she had such a negative impact on the school and staff and she seemed very arrogant and a bit mean. I found the only way I could have met was to hope that she would experience things that would help her learn to listen to others. Is that a poor use of metta?!

Good morning Guilhem and Akashamitra. Your words about taking things personally really resonated this morning. I’m aware of how difficult I find it letting go of hurt and harm and how I nurse the sadness. I’m aware of lots of sadness rising up and I’m working with that. Thanks for helping your words are very affirming.
