The idea of a legislative rewrite is unsettling and carries with it great, uncertain and I know repercussions. Would it be possible to address any issues to better the industry by simple policy and process changes within the state board office?

I agree with Ms. Washington. States like Texas make the guards invest in themselves. As companies we can dump money and time into security officers but then they leave a week later for 25 cents more an hour. I don't think State should control every aspect of training aside from approving the curriculum and possibly the delivery. As multiple people have mentioned the process placed upon on the companies are cumbersome when compared to other states that do have program that work.
