For those in Grove City or Westerville with mobility/transportation challenges, I encourage you to investigate COTA's on-demand transportation solution --COTA//PLUS -- similar to other ride-hailing services. To learn more, please visit www.cota.com/cotaplus

COTA also worked to deploy a "bus-on-demand" pilot in northeast Columbus, Gahanna, and New Albany where customers can use the COTA//PLUS mobile app to summon a 30' bus to get you where you need to go. Since deploying that on Sept. 21, response times are approx. 13 min! More information available on www.cota.com/cotaplus

Hi everyone! I represent American Heritage College as the VP of Enrollment & Business Relations for Ohio Region. We offer wonderful "post-apprenticeship" programs to enhance opportunities for the unemployed and the underemployed to land jobs and if already employed, obtain certifications in many different industries to be skilled and certified to be able to obtain promotions in their current jobs. Please contact me at beth.e.wood.med@gmail.com for more info!

Hi everyone, I am the state director for Apprenti. I can provide support letters and oversight for tech pre-apprenticeship programs. I love what I am seeing with programs like Perry’s as it feeds well into our registered tech apprenticeship program. But, we need companies to hire these apprentices. kevin@apprenticareers.org

Bill, can you touch on the impact of underemployment and what the new Ludwig Institute for Shared Economic Prosperity is calling the True Rate of Unemployment around 26% - https://www.lisep.org/
Evelyn Van Til
01:49:37
That’s a great question Jason. I saw a startling stat “If you measure the unemployed as anybody over 16 years old who isn't earning a living wage, the rate rises even further, to 54.6%. For Black Americans, it's 59.2%.” https://www.axios.com/americas-true-unemployment-rate-6e34decb-c274-4feb-a4af-ffac8cf5840d.html

You are spot on!

01:57:38
What impacts do you foresee on local economies and city infrastructures as companies can more easily access a remote workforce and do not need to rely on the local workforce
Loges, Michael
01:59:56
Dr. Lafayette - How do you expect municipal budgets to change with so many folks working from home? Approx. 80% of the total revenue derived by the City of Columbus is from income tax withholdings and although some temporary measures were put in place, do you see that changing?
Loges, Michael
02:01:28
Could that destabilize municipal bond payment schedules?
