So would Bernard Hickey be guilty under that provision of the code (for his recent statements), or are his comments not subject to the code?
Gary Cavaney
37:15
We lost the sound there for a moment
Brett Dymond
46:39
Hi Katrina - Code Standards 3 & 4 - suitability and understanding. I have a number of clients on a transactional only scope of service. They need a broker to buy or sell securities on the NZX/ASX. No advice is given. How best do we comply with Code Standards 3 & 4?
Norm Waldon
47:32
Cant find the 'Privacy Guide' referred to earlier on FANZ website.
Norm Waldon
47:43
Where is it located?
Katrina Shanks
49:25
Transactional falls outside of advice so you don't. You will have to be careful you don't comment on their instruction. Helpful?
Katrina Shanks
50:59
But then on the other hand you are a registered financial adviser so has to abide by the legislation so it become grey - make sure you have evidence the client understands you are not giving advice as it is on instruction and transactional. :0
Brett Dymond
52:52
Sure - thanks. For me it will be about having a very clear (signed) scope of service for those clients. The old Code of Conduct (Code Standard 8) gave us very clear direction in that regard - not so much the new Code. Thanks.
Stuart Baddeley
55:05
Info on providers we don't deal with???...do we provide a list?

Only if the ANZ want you as an adviser, and you meet their targets. Otherwise ANZ won't accept applications. I tell my clients that I don't use the ANZ because I don't send them enough to meet their targets

How to manage existing clients under the new regime, disclosures required, recoomended products?
Jane Eschenbach
01:10:11
When granted a transitional licence it's in generalised terms but not specific so you have to reference your original FMA info. You trust you're getting it right but kind of guessing too.
Nick Green
01:10:17

Nicole Hoy
01:11:21
Can you transfer your transitional / full licence to another investment FAP at a future point in time?
Marie Scawboard
01:11:24
I would appreciate a quick check list for each step that needs to be completed and in order for new regime. something like a file checklist with tick boxes just to ensure we don't forget something until it becomes second nature to us
Dave Lucas
01:13:14
Will FANZ provide a new disclosure template like you have provided to date
