I understand all the fabulous steps taken to help our attendance issues. This pandemic really threw us this curve ball. My concern is that we weren't prepared with the supplies, and we continue to lack the needed technological materials to provide a good education. We need to get prepared for future setbacks. How can we held parents accountable if we, as a district cannot give them what is needed.

I cannot wait to tell my school system in North Carolina, a little rural county with around 46,000 residents about the expertise, wisdom and knowledge that I was blessed to hear on today. To find out that there is HOPE out here that others have no knowledge of and to get it FREE is to me the greatest gift a School Social Worker could be given. I feel good right now. Thanks for giving me back my passion when I thought that I had no resources to start back with after retiring 32 years as a School Social Worker and going back in after 14 months out. I feel alive and ready to be creative.
