Happy to be here!
Do you think western medical systems create more danger, nocebos, by their fixation on identifying physical reasons for pain especially with such reliance on imaging....which can be completely off base as far as identifying the source of pain?
The night of the election, my pain exploded....I was flashing back to 2016!
Ahhhhh...I'm pretty sure guilt, shame, grief and repressed anger are my superpowers! :-(
Thank you! Excellent info!

I want to watch the news and listen to people's stories about Covid or other health issues, but I usually feel myself getting anxious or TMS symptoms. Should I tell myself something in particular during these times, or should I try to avoid listening to the news and stories about health problems? How do I stay calm about Covid-19?
Surgery is lucrative....there's a strong incentive to the detriment of the patient!
I've been to many of these sessions now, but this one was the best one! I hope the slides will be available to us later, as I was writing feverishly and couldn't capture it all. I plan to focus on the 6 ways to calm my nervous system now!
Awesome presentations. I feel truly blessed with all your insights, they are just what I needed to hear!
Thank you, thank you, great presentations. So helpful!!
@Marian: For me, minimizing watching and reading news has helped a lot. We don't need to spend a lot of time consuming news to be aware of necessary information. The news really focuses on scaring people, so keeping the consumption down helps a lot with calming our nervous systems.
Sometimes I feel like avoiding stressors or anxiety caused them to have more power over me....If I can sit in the feeling, it empowers me and weakens the stressor.
I’m so glad to hear that Debbie! I’m happy to provide my slides so Joe can send them out.
I'm a perfectionist so I try to set an intention that I'm "good enough" and that is good enough!
I feel like I need to choose between accomplishing things and enjoying my life. How can we balance our desire to get things done with the quest for peace, calm, and joy?
Make sure you give yourself credit for whatever you do. Instead of judging what you don't get done
Thank you, Rebecca!
Thank you for all your time and wonderful presentation
James....that is awesome advice....!
Great point James! Focus on what you DID do.
Good enough is the new perfect, Linda!
@James, excellent point! I think perfectionism and comparing myself to others steals a lot of my joy.
Thank you guys so much! Great presentations! I really appreciate these webinars!
Any suggestions for how to incorporate joy and fun during lockdowns?
