Can a young person undertake a traineeship where they attend placement at more than one employer? e.g. one traineeship but with 2 different job roles

28:33
Biggest barriers for 19-24 year olds is that Traineeships are not a target for DWP, unlike for example, Sector-based Work Academy Programmes (SWAPs). Unless this is a target, we will get no referrals to Traineeships, as they do not meet DWP requirements.

apologies i came in late due to technical issues. I am after clarification as to how the business claims the incentive for taking a learner on a traineeship please.....

30:01
Very basic question sorry - is there any expectation for classroom time to be part of the traineeship? Apprenticeships is 20%off the job training and Supported Internships usually a few hours in the classroom per week.

32:28
@Laura Lavender - we are trying to develop an online traineeship, so rather that classroom time, they will work at their own pace, supported by facilitators. The traineeship can include regulated, or non-regulated, training.

33:24
@Dee Vickers thank you that's really helpful. Are you working at a College?

34:04
@Laura Lavender - yes, I am the Head of Apprenticeships at Kingston Maurward College. And you..?

34:13
Traineeships are also competing with Industry Placements (for T Levels which have just been launched), Work Experience for other College Students, as well as Kickstart. The most attractive programme is obviously Kickstart, however could Kickstart be a progression route from a Traineeship? A short period of pre-employability, 70-100 of work experience (around 4 weeks), followed by employment on a Kickstart job?

34:40
@Dee Vickers Head of Inclusion at Wakefield College. It'd be great to have a catch up outside of here if you have any time for me to pick your brains :-)

35:10
@Laura Lavender - yes, of course. dee.vickers@kmc.ac.uk

Can a trainee claim Access to Work to fund Job Coach support if needed or can this support be claimed through AEB Learning Support Fund?
