Good morning all. We are in need to access to care. Our residents, we have over 70 in 5 different locations, are uninsured mostly. We need a streamline way to get them tested. We have set aside units prepared but only have 8 spaces. We also have several front line workers that are working overtime to support them during this critical time for our nation.

To CCSD: Can the school counselors or social workers make referrals to The Ark and Food Bank for families who need food in the house?
Sarah McKinney
01:27:03

Has CCSD been able to determine how many children don't have laptops/computers/tablets and/or access to WiFi so they can keep up with the online curriculum? If so, what solution is being reviewed to ensure they can continue classes online?
Amanda Torrence
01:27:38
Is the AACF fund for CCSD associated with the COVID fund or separate?
Sarah McKinney
01:27:54
It is not Amanda. It is specifically for CCSD.

The FBNEGA website, foodbanknega.org, has a searchable database of our partner agencies that distribute food in their communities. Simply click on "Need Help?" at the top right and enter a ZIP code to find agencies close by.

We are in need to food resources. This week is taken care of but may not be next week. We pick up our food from the food bank and the inventory list is low this week. Please send us resources if you have any support. We are in the process of calling churches to be proactive in the event the FB is not restocked next week.

I’ll that if businesses are not open by May, there is going to be a mass of permanent closures that will take years to recover from. That will drive the needs of the community we see now through the roof.

I know several properties are talking about a relief program, maybe paying Aprils rent over several months, waiving late fees, talking to residents about payment plans or sending them to HelloTill, which is a loan service. I'm VP of the Athens apartment assoc if anyone wants to talk further about it
stephanie
01:39:20
We are concerned about undocumented members of community that won’t (as far as we know) be able to access gov’t relief money or other packages. They have been among the first to lose hours or jobs
Parents of Georgia- Christin Walker
01:39:28
Parents of Georgia would like to collaborate with other organizations in Athens and come together to help the economy any way we can. We are a marketing and advertising platform that reaches the UGA students and parents. I would be happy to share any information for Athens organizations and businesses that need support. POG is hoping for huge boost during orientation.
