CPA's Personal Meeting Room - Shared screen with speaker view
Good morning all, Tammy here in lil ole Washington
GOOD MORNING :)
yep- saw that about the closures
was it announced on TV?
I saw it online
We are working on partnering with pharmacies to hand out the medication dissolve packets since Drug Take Back Day has been cancelled.
Tamra>Mary, what type of resources are you including in the packets? thanks,
we are using a variety of coloring pages, elementary and adult, as well as local resources, gambling resource pages and fun worksheets. We are also putting in crayons and pencils
thanks, Christy Unger!
Some of our staff are doing videos with activities on our FB page
We have launched a FB page as well and trying to get information out that way.
We are still providing packets to our lunch programs. Our schools are just starting google classroom next week. Information is still being provided on a prevention/gambling/pa stop with links through our Facebook.
We will be giving our Food Bank information on safe prescription drug disposal information. We are also currently running a coloring and a poster contest for NDFW.
One of our Providers will be distributing activity bags to senior living facilities with healthy coping tips and ATOD info.
sorry about that. Homeschooling granddaughter and math....ughhhhhh
CHRISTY U- please forward me the email you received from ISU this morning. Kelly.email@example.com. Perhaps it went to my junk mail- yet I check that regularly. Thank you so much!
I missed the full name...Ever what?
Yes Angela! Sending now!
Thank you, Christy Unger!
Could you share with the group
Everfi.com - there have many online modules available. We have a license with them for the Prescription Drug Module and now Mental Wellness to provide to our school districts in Somerset County. They also have AlcoholEDU that is great as well!
Any SAP team members that can share how they're continuing to help students who might need some support? are you doing individual outreach or doing general outreach with resources?
One of our providers is planning to implement Project Toward No Drug Abuse virtually in May, if anyone has any questions about that I can connect you
EverFi - some courses are free and some have a cost? Or am I mistaken?
Some of our teams are doing virtual meetings and have begun to discuss ways to connect. Will share information on next call
Our SAP staff are reaching out by email. Some have responded, at which time the staff shares resources with them.
Mary: did they send a general "we are here if you need something" or is there a questionnaire?
Bucks County- SAP is in contact with schools, supporting however they can, sending weekly updates about services to schools, starting to implement BH Works telehealth module soon
Mercer sAP is utilizing phone screening with verbal consents (documented on the paper consent). team meetings are occuring virtually-
Westmoreland SAP is continuing. We have many schools on board with doing virtual meetings through different platforms. We also have mental health and drug and alcohol doing telehealth. More teams are getting on board as well with the virtual meetings.
Everfi has some free digital courses available. We purchased the license so we are able to have training for our schools and they track data and provide an impact report for all school districts who are using so it helps us to keep track of how many students are participating and pre and posttest scores.
I was going to do a general but maybe a questionnaire would be a good idea. Anyone else have any suggestions?
We have a person who creates the bags and leaves at our office. Our Outreach staff goes out to the lunch sites and deliveries. The packet contain information for families and youth on ATOD/Gambling/PA Stop/Coping Skills. Activities on ATOD/Gambling/Coping are also provided for the youth for various ages.
Our SAP services have also continued. We do screenings and use the BHS and will use the email delivery of the tool once we're set up correctly on the new platform. Some of our teams are meeting virtually every week or two. We are continuing to reach out to kids and parents to see if they need additional support and we have assessed which mental health and substance use providers are still accepting new clients, etc. We are also planning to pull together coping tips for families and teens
Thank you all for your input!
YOUTHmove has the virutal support groups for youth - can't find the link at the moment
Is anyone doing We Know BETter virtually?
Mercer also started the COVID19 warm line very simlar to Crawford offered M-F 8:30-4:30
Butler County also has started a warmline...sounds very similar to Mercer County's operation
We also started a hope message that our staff has shared personal messages to public. Our Facebook page has had more views and shares this week since we started personalizing these. We have had community members and prevention/treatment providers reaching out to share their messages so we can then share with public.
How are staff continuing SAP prevention education sessions that they already had started with a student in their school before they were shut down?
I have just reached out to the students individually- and am continuing to follow up with them
Correct Grace and Danielle; we are not running groups but I have been following up and reminding the students where we were at and trying to help them build their skills we were working on.
We are also doing some elementary sap groups virtually
It's been my understanding the state is allowing Zoom use?
Erica! Great point about the kids who are often absent from school- if we can get something virtually figured out that can carry over after COVID I think that would be great....
In regards to the SAP prevention education classes that we were unable to finish. What we have been doing, as long as the school has agreed and was on board was creating power point slides for the lessons we did not get to finish in each grade for each school. The school would send out the link to the power point slides for each child. Then the students would have access to the remaining lessons that were not able to be completed due to the current situation. This also gives the students something to do during a time where there are few and limited things and places to go. We have included little quizzes, humorous video clips, and critical thinking questions in the slides to make it a little more entertaining and fun for the kids as well.
Yes please. :)
yes please !
Yes, thank you
Yes especially with school's cancelling this academic year!
Yes, please. I think as the situation continues to evolve we all learn more and discover more we need to learn.
Thank you for continuing to do these!
Thank you everyone!

Thank you everyone!
