We submitted our EIDL application last Friday and have not had any response from the SBA since then. Is that normal? Is there a way to check the status of our application?

I think Sen. Warner will be the best way to find out how to find out. SBA's help lines don't have a status check option.

Please ask him on behalf of all of us.

Could people bring their own growler (for example) to be filled up?
Beth Chang

Good points re: growler; thanks, Marybeth!

Has anyone been funded yet?
Carl

Its taking us way longer than that for our EIDL submitted on 3/20 no Advance yet either.

We submitted for $10,000 emergency grant over a week ago and have heard nothing. We were given a confirmation number that it was received.

I also understand that now the EIDL will be limited to $1000 per employee not the $10,000 we were told for emergency. Is this true?
Sherri

yes,..

Regarding the PPP, I have read that "The amount of forgiveness is reduced by amount of any reduction in total salary or wages of any employee during covered period in excess of 25% of total salary or wages during most recent full quarter during which EE was employed before the 8-week period beginning on the date of origination of the loan”. I am concerned because we have an employee who doesn’t want to come back due to his age, so HIS wage/hours will be 100% reduction. Another employee hasn’t responded to me since lay off and I assume he doesn’t want to come back.
Sherri

Will forgiveness be penalized, even if we give other staff or new staff those hours

There is no mention of the forgiveness of PPP loan funds in the promissory note we received from our bank this morning. Where do we find that disclaimer information?
Sherri
32:28
So the Full-Time Equivalent number is going to be weighted more heavily? And overall hours/wages to paid to staff?
Carl

Part of our payroll is used to pay folks who are not needed … the TR is closed. How do I bring someone on to do nothing?
Sherri

Our bank gave us 1% 2 years payback
Sherri

One bank told my friend that they just need to pay people even though they are staying home. And to think of the loan $$ as the government’s money, not theirs.
