Please feel free to submit any questions for speakers in the Q&A box and we'll take them after all speakers have gone. Thank you!
By when do schools need to reopen to be eligible for HEALS $?
That's a good question, Tom. As we know, many districts are planning to open soon. Some are opening this week. Meanwhile, HEALS is far from settled.
Hi Tom - the HEALS Act says governors must approve qualifying plans from districts within 30 days of receiving them, so presumably districts would act ASAP to get that money. However, as Evie said, the HEALS Act is a starting point for negotiations in the Senate and is far from a done deal.
Many districts in MI have announced they will go on-line only through October…wonder if there will still be resources available for such districts.
Hey Tom Buffet!! :) HGSE Friend...Flow...

What do we know about best practices for engaging parents/families for on-line/hybrid learning?
Take a look at Attendance Works for Engagement ideas.
At the top of your screen is 'speaker view' button. You are welcome to click on it and you will see in the larger screen panelists who are speaking, as a customized view.
Please move to Michigan Delegate Washington! To all panelists: What kind of innovative approaches to reimagining job roles where school systems have decided to go on-line?
Does anyone have any best practices to share with all the surveys? We have done several, but struggle to get fully representative responses
There is some evidence that sending texts to cell phones are effective.
