in the past year, I feel held and supported by coaches from a program based in understanding phases of life and change from an afro-indigeneous perspective.... and I have been helping to be there for a friend who is long term survivor of HIV who just got out of 13 yrs in prison with very challenging parole requirements.

54:30
That is right Jeff lager the numbers the loader the voice

55:09
what I see coming ahead is creating opportunities for people to connect in person, without digital devices, to win back our attention, set intentions, and find inventions that will move us forward in connection

56:48
Raising my (virtual) hand

01:04:57
Is a copy of the presentation available?

01:06:12
Great plans and ideas! I hope you’ll include some focused outreach to engage people outside of cities and suburbs, who live in more rural locations (especially, but not just in the South) - and often experience particularly high isolation. Continuing to develop the TRP capacity for presenting forums via webinar may be especially meaningful for folks who live in rural areas.

01:06:33
I'm curious as to if The Reunion Project would be able to support local initiatives like creating buddy programs for PLWH that would connect survivors with the more recently diagnosed. Desire has been expressed in the support group I run, but anyone who would be interested in collaborating/sharing resources would be greatly welcome to contact me at johan.baumeister@justushealth.org

01:07:34
Ultimately I'm looking at a collaborative alliance of peer support folks so we can better serve LTS populations and build stronger connections with the broader HIV community.

01:08:16
Johan that sounds great and I would love to learn more. where are you based?

01:08:25
I like that idea a lot, Johan.

01:08:26
Minneapolis, MN

01:08:41
Great ideas Mark. Yes we will be seeking people who live in the suburbs or even rural areas.

01:08:44
yes Mark, I agree on your points/suggestions

01:09:02
yes i am

01:09:07
Thank you for your comment Dhoruba

01:09:24
I know that GMHC was to have created a buddy program for aging clients

01:10:41
If anyone is participating today (in a group) please send us the names of those people so that they can fill out the evaluation.

01:11:10
Glad to hear (read) that, Waheedah - as a resident of a relatively small city (Charleston SC), in a largely rural state, it seems unlikely that there're large enough numbers to bring a TRP session here, so virtual meetings and forums are critical to link w LTS outside the mega cities where there are large numbers concentrated.

01:13:49
Thank you so very much for putting this webinar on today!

01:13:55
