if a child, teacher or parent refuses to comply, what can be done? Can they be refused access to the school?
is the school mandated to provide suitable sized face masks or can we require students and teachers to bring their own?
any guidance regarding square feet per occupant in classrooms?
Is there guidance regarding K-7 summer athletic camps hosted in school districts?
Can you let me know what guidance document you are reading from?
is cleaning during the day only to be conducted by janitors? or will all in the building help?
That was good - thanks
Are desks mandated to be 6’ apart or just as far as possible?
is the any guidance on school bus occupancy
Are schools considered part of Phase 4 reopening or is there a separate rule for school reopening?
If parents decide to transport their children to school is there liability issues?
CDC Guidance "Considerations for Schools" (5/19/2020) states seating/desks at least 6 feet apart when feasible; howver, NYSDOH Guidance for In-Person Special Education Services and Instruction (6/8/2020) states seating/desks to be spaced at least six feet apart.
The guidance documents do not speak to who supplies the student's with face coverings. As currently, in school, masks are encouraged not required - the students could not be excluded from school for not wearing a mask. School Districts are required to provide face masks/coverings and other necessary PPE to its employees
Parents have the right to decline transportation and provide it themselves.
I have not seen any specific occupancy limits for school buses yet from NYSDOH or NYSED.
Are districts required to provide the coronavirus testing or do employees have to do that on their own?
Can you please repeat the 3 questions?
we are opening in the summer and our teachers have already asked about the time it will take to do the screening and how it affects their arrival time/late issues.
