As families are released back to work, are we able to start enrolling those families
Angela Rutherford Head Start parent in Barton
Building Bright Futures will also be sure to disseminate resources developed by AOE as they come out as well.
RE. PreK: what does a private provider do if the families are unenrolled from the private program?
Nikita Lenahan, World of Discovery I, Perkinsville
can you give an example of how a program would figure the total cost of their program, the 50% family cost
If parents are released back to work can we enroll those students now
has anything been talked about in regards to school agers tuitions?
What if parent unenrolls from old program, but enrolled into my program that is an Act 166 program. Who receives Act 166 funds? Old program or my program?
do you have to unenroll a family if they cant afford to pay anything at this time
some programs are not considering the prek cost ( act 166) in their program cost, Shouldn't that be included in total cost?
Is this 50/50 cost stabilization plan across the country or only VT.?
What if the PreK payment covers more than the 50% rate?
how do we get information on the status of the stimulus payments? once you enter the information it only sends you a jot form with your answers and then that’s it. it doesn’t inform you if you need to fix anything or if it is in the process of being processed.
For workers who are allowed to return to their jobs, what capacity is there to put their children into early childhood programs?
if parents can not afford to pay any of their 50% for the stabilization program do you have to unenroll that familey
What is the role of the private program in regards to TSG. We have some preK kids still attending (essential worker parents) and others not attending. Should we be contacting home districts for each of these kids?
if you have a child that parents were essential workers and they received subsidy, now subsidy ended and parents are no longer working, If I charge them for the spot in care and they can't pay the 50% can I bill the state for the full amount and unenroll the child?
Beth Traver Adolphus
I know the school age situation is being worked on. Can you give us an update on whether there will be financial stabilization support for those families and the early care programs who offer before and afterschool care? We are holding on to our staff as required which is a financial drain without stabilization payments for those children. Thanks!
Is it true that private pre k programs are not required to submit continuity of learning plans but still receive Act 166 payments even if families withdraw?
I second Tonya and Beth Traver Adolphus
Do you anticipate or have any ideas on Summer Camps running
^^ VERY interested in what this means for summer camps
why are news reports grouping child care in with school closing to end of school year, do we reopen may 15 or end of school year
Do you anticipate the child care stabilization funds will continue through the end of the school year or will they be phased out as the economy reopens, perhaps at the end of the May 15th Stay Home/Stay Safe order? What would a phase-out look like?
will they be expanding the amount of group sizes in a childcare setting?
Can people receive care for health reasons vs being essential workers?
Do you anticipate a reduction in group size when we reopen? For example, 10 people in a classroom maximum
Are we now required to wear masks while caring for children as opposed as it being a recommendation?
will we have a warning of a reopening date or jump right in
Will the age and underlying health conditions for staff stay in effect when reopening begins?
Hollie Hess Labas
A coworker told me today that we may have to wear masks in the childcare setting for the next 18 months, which I find very scary for the children, like traumatizing
if these ratios and guidelines stay the same through summer and the start of the next year, that clearly messes with our ratios and classroom sizes, how will that effect things. If we have the adjust class sizes we would have to release families and staff from our programs, which means loss of income too
If a program cannot meet any of the staff, group, or health and safety guidances when reopening is allowed, will the Stabilization payments continue for those programs?
If pregnant persons are not allowed to return to work in a childcare position under the regulations for childcare for essential persons, can they remain laid-off for the stabilization payments? We have rehired back our whole staff even though our pregnant co-worker has advocated to stay on unemployment since she can't return to work if we re-open.
Where do ECE's mail parent self certification forms if they cannot attach it to the jotform?
Why was afterschool child care not included in the child care stabilization plan? How close are we to getting some answers on whether there will be any financial help for afterschool providers?
this is where the webinars for childcare are posted with the other guidance and FAQ info
There is nothing on there, yet, pertaining to afterschool program help.
Once we have attached the Parent Form for essential persons once through the Jot Form invoice, so we have to attach them again the next time we invoice?
I got a call yesterday from a wonderful women helping to make sure invoices where done correct. she worked with me and went line by line.
Clarification re: stabilization payments. 12 weeks from when? thx
If we received more money than our invoice requested, do we need to return that money or will it just be deducted from later invoices ?
should we not submit further invoices not knowing if our previous invoices were correct
If we have not received a phone call - are we safe to assume invoices were submitted correctly?
We work with a flexible schedule for our after school program. How would I utilize the Stabilization program that asks for specific schedules of kids?
If families that receive subsidy unenroll and subsidy ends can they get subsidy back if stabilization runs out of money and they want to reenroll when we are able to open as a way to receive some money for their slot or if they unenroll is subsidy gone until we reopen and they reapply
Do we use original jot form invoice, or wait for a new one to be sent for todays pay period?
are registered homes able to apply for unemployment through the self employment program?
What is the date of the 12th week?
Yes, date of the 12th week. This is not clear!!!
would the amount be correct and match if invoice is correct
is the jot form changing moving forward given the recent issues
Early Care and Education Association
Are you saying the PPP and Stabilization program is different for all centers? or can VT CDD find this out and confirm for everyone, so each center doesn't have to contract an accountant?
We have also recently set up a Point of Contact Team to answer general questions about the Stabilization Program and Essential Persons Incentive. Please contact this team byAHS.DCFCOVIDInvoiceDocumentation@vermont.gov OR call: phone at 802-241-3110.
I spoke with someone yesterday regarding invoice that needed to be corrected. SHe called me. But the information that I gave to her was exactly the same as the information I submitted. Why would they call me if there was no change ?

Does the Essential Persons Incentive cover 100% of their tuition?
Are essential care incentive pay part of the stabilization payments or will this be separate
thank you for your hard work
thank you Melissa for that clarification on school agers
how will the EP incentive care be differentiated from stabilization payments
You can sign up for the CDD emails at https://bit.ly/cddemail
It's on the VDH website as well
Will a recording of this be posted somewhere?

Thanks so much to all of the folks working on this!
I have a parent that unenrolled at her child care program and enrolled into mine. She was receiving Act 166 at old program. Mom receives 100% subsidy. Is mom's copay covered under stabilization program? Should mom be receiving Act 166 funds, since I am an Act 166 provider at child's present school or does the program she unenrolled in receive Act 166 funds.
Thank you for this, and I hope these forums can continue
Thanks so much for your hard work and all your efforts!
can you post that hashtag somewheres for people to remember
