I can see andhear
Yes, Susan McCloskey
how do we join the webinar ?
It came up automatically from the link in the email.
Just copy and paste the link in the last email https://zoom.us/j/948053278
what about schools where students parent involvement is zero as these students are highschool?
Pen & paper tasks - can we photocopy sections of the workbook? or does every family need to buy a workbook? will delivery of buying new workbooks be slow because of COVID?
Are you suggesting that parents implement the programs rather than the teachers?
what is the cost of the readers
With parents who are already struggling with supporting their students with remote learning, what part of the programme (mini lit) is most important to deliver to students?
Readers cost $420 for a full set (which is 1 copy of each title), and $1650 for a classroom set (6 copies of each title).
Hi do we have o buy the decodable books first then get the books free
The link to the Reinforced Reading video is available here: https://vimeo.com/398400092/2e7f173f9b
Will you be putting the sounds and words book onto powerpoint, or do we have to do that ourselves?
Just checking if Class DOJO and Google Classroom are both closed platforms and safe to upload video recordings of lessons
bonnie, they are making it a PDF and sending it to us
Aimee I’m pretty sure they are
If you haven’t yet purchased the decodable books, then yes, you would need to buy the physical copies first, and we would then provide you with online access to share with parents. Please note that these online readers, as well as the other Presentation Books/Sounds and Words books, will be available only during the duration of the COVID-19 crisis.
students need codes to access google classroom
screencastify is a great platform to pre record sessions.
Will MultiLit make the activity book for MacqLit onto an app or pdf format?
Just want to clarify if we can photocopy worksheets from student workbooks (mini lit) and send hardcopies home?
Most students already left before we were able to give them the activity books to take home.
When do you anticipate the ebooks will be available for MacqLit?
will there be a cost for the E book for Mac
Michelle Wright: We mailed them out to the students that had left already
mail books out
Are you able to provide digital copies of the handbooks, teacher manuals and assessment books? It is hard for people who job share and only having access to hard copy books
Yes we will be using recorded videos on seesaw
The books we are making available online, which are the student-facing books, will be ready by early next week. There will not be a cost for these versions if you have already purchased the program.

In WA we use Connect. Does anyone have any experience with using Connect and MacqLit?
For my pre recorded lessons I'm going to use screencastify and upload onto seesaw and google if that is considered closed platform. Hangout can be used for google too for live sessions.
Are you able to do a mock/sample lesson using a platform such as Zoom for MiniLit and RTP?
AC.Tdirectorate are preferring us to use hangout or meet in google classroom over zoon for live sessions .
From Vicki - I put a pack together with clear instructions covering lessons that we have done to date, mainly focusing on sounds - CVC - sight words etc - sentences. This has been broken into short booklets - 12 revision sessions with the emphasis on repetition until we can do some form of face to face. Is this ok ?
That’s a great idea Vicki
Vicky I would love a copy if that is OK?
Me to please Vicky?! email@example.com
If you could do ikewise for us at Brian.Birrell@education.wa.edu.au
Great suggestion Vicky. Are you happy to share an example?
Storybook - we are going to read the book recorded on seesaw and then ask questions. The students can then video the answers or type the answers back to us.
Should the word building and word transformations activities be sent home?
It would be great if you could share Vicky
firstname.lastname@example.org I would also like a copy Vicki if that is Ok
Vicky I would love it too Lynda.email@example.com Hopefully I could share some resources in return
I would love a copy, too Vicky. Only if you are happy too. firstname.lastname@example.org
seesaw allows students to respond in a variety of ways- video, voice, writing, photos.....
Are the online readers the guided reading books or take home books?
If Vicki is happy to share, perhaps send to M/Lit and they can share to all of us please
Thanks Vicky. Julie.email@example.com
Yep great point Sandra :)
Me too please Vicky! firstname.lastname@example.org

The resources that you will be providing, will you be emailing them to us?
Me too please Vicky email@example.com
Would love a copy as well. firstname.lastname@example.org
Vicky, if you’re will to share and you’re a member of the InitiaLit Community Facebook group, that might be a relatively painless way of distributing, rather than sending out dozens of emails.

Is there a MacqLit Facebook group?
Is anyone going to be delivering ML SW WAS EXT remotely?
If there's not macqlit facebook group - we should make one so we can help each other & share ideas
Good idea John! Poor Vicky is getting inundated!
For Minilit - I have made a slide show of letters/sounds and flashcards. I have made a screencastify of me presenting these elements. I plan to upload to Seesaw to my students, a couple per wek. I am only working on revision at this stage. I have also made activities in Seesaw that will back up the slide shows.
yes macqlit facebook group!!
Will you be running more Zoom webinar sessions this week?
Tania that s what I am doing too.
I'm going to do a mix of live and pre recorded sessions.
HUAWEI nova 3i
Yes Sarah, I agree...a MacqLit FB group would be excellent for sharing...
If we are alternating one day online (teacher presenting) and one day offline (parent consolidating), then we're not going to hit four sessions a week with a teacher. Are you ok with that?
Thanks MulitLIt group for all your correspondence and support during this unusual time. .Perhaps best if Vicky sends a copy to Multilit themselves and they can distribute to us all.
Thanks so much for all your help!
Is there a Facebook page for Multilit users
That would be fabulous!
Is there a cost for the MacqLit E-book Letters and Sounds
What are the copyright restrictions on delivering ML SW SAW & EXT
Me also please Vicky! email@example.com
ACT directorate have set their guidelines clearly for what we can and can't do
Thank you for your fabulous support -it is greatly appreciated and all our staff and students will benefit from what you are doing.
Yes to the MacquLit FB group!
If you’re currently a MacqLit customer, you will receive access to the online MacqLit Sounds and Words books free for the duration of the COVID-19 crisis.
A copy would be wonderful please Vicky
Thanks for your correspondence and support MultiLit, it is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support and ongoing training.
A MacquLit Facebook group would be so helpful
Thank you for hosting this and keeping us updated and informed

Thank you for this afternoon’s webinar. You have answered many of my questions and have given me the confidence to move ahead.
Thanks for your support and helping us work through this.

This has been so helpful. Thank you so much...
Vicky: firstname.lastname@example.org thanks :)
Thanks you so much for hosting this webinar. If there were 800 teachers this morning and 300 this afternoon, you know that there's a huge need for your programs to continue even during this crazy time.
MultiLit is providing a special price for purchase of MacqLit Activity Books during this period of school closures: $25 for a single copy. (These books are available for purchase via our usual order form; discount will be applied during processing.)
Thank you for your assistance and help. Thanks too to the other educators sharing their great ideas.
Thank you for this webinar today.
Thank you VERY much!!!
Thank you so much, ti was very helpful.
Good luck everyone!
Thank you so much!!
That’s great! Thank you. Recorded web much appreciated.
Thanks, certainly helpful!
Very informative thank you Alison and Kyle.
You guys are awesome and I'm sure working around the clock!
Another free resource for parents is this parent webinar by Five from Five: https://youtu.be/qO84dU-_DGE.
the parent videos, downloadable sounds and books and reading books will be very helpful
Thanks, very helpful webinar!
Vicki, could I olease get a copy too?
Having a webinar around the apps might be useful
How do we mange to do Fluency effectively in MultiLit while having to show them and move the manual for them in front of camera? I did a lesson today and it was quite challenging showing Word Attack book. Not a true reflection of child's ability. Having a copy of the manual at home would be helpful.
Alison and Kyle, so much for you to work out, doing a great job.We can all, only do our best. Good luck everyone. Stay safe.
Could they reread a book/passage to practice fluency
Could I get a copy too please Vicki email@example.com
are we allowed to send out electronic versions of the downloadable materials or just physical copies?
Thank you so much for this.
Word Attack Extension Skills, thoughts re using this on line
Child Protection says that 1:1 live streaming a parent must be present in the room. We[ our school] are not permitted to record a session then send. We are starting live streaming next week and have been told that 2 students per group is more manageable. Parents are very stressed with the online learning so keeping it simple is essential. Can you provide InitiaLit readers L10-16 also please as a page turner text?
Thank you! I missed the first part of the last session so logged on to this one to catch up & ended up staying all the way through!
Remember that parents are learning on line tools and how to manage working from home and their kids learning. Safety and well being, health and then learning are the priorities. Keeping it simple and moving slowly is doable.
Well said Sandra. That is my concern too. We need to look after our kids, their parents and ourselves in these crazy times. We want them to hang on to what we have already taught them.
Especially the teachers who are also parents!
HUAWEI nova 3i
Yes Georgia, I'm one of them...🙉
For sure Georgia. Many of us are.
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
I think it is also important to use the same platform which is already being used in the classroom.
good luck guys, let's just give it our best shot!
I really appreciate everything you have done, many thanks.
What a blessing you both are and the team! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Thank you so much!! We are all learning new tools for our craft like you are.
Thank you and well done everyone.
