Before the shut in Bah'a'ís were Fasting. Is Fasting suffering?
Great question. I love thinking about Fasting and its relationship to suffering. I like to think of Fasting as a"training" suffering. Like how we train ourselves for a sport, we test our bodies and push them hard in practice, and the harder we push ourselves in practice, the better we perform during the game. I like to think fasting is training us for tests, and giving us the strength to show detachment when we need to.
Training is a beautiful, useful metaphor.
You keep fading out. Is it just my device?
Sounds good on my end.
Pat set up a Bicentenary banner as his backdrop. Very nice!
Rell and I really enjoyed it. We have two other kids under 2 so was wonderful to stay on mute and still receive the presentation. I like this format a lot and great content and conversation. We are out here in Smithville gardening and farming and it’s nice to connect remotely :). Thank you and stay well everyone!
