CFLA-FCAB Webinar: AI for All Canada - Shared screen with speaker view
How does a library become a part of the program? Whitby PL is interested in learning more about this.
In regards to the funding issue, has any consideration been given to contributions from the libraries that might participate? It could be positioned as a "membership" or a "consulting fee" for something that will benefit us in the future.
is this initiative intended to be primarily delivered through public libraries, or are public libraries an additional channel?
Just a comment: Thank you for this fantastic presentation. I am a former public librarian and currently am a medical librarian -- there's quite a bit of AI discussion in healthcare, but as the librarian, I frequently find myself explaining to clinicians in training what they need to be aware of when using an algorithm-based database (TRIP, Micromedex w/ IBM Watson, and Google etc). This presentation and this work in public libraries is timely and fantastic. I look forward to following it.
Please do consider working with library associations - there are opportunities to deploy train the trainers programs via conferences, etc.
Thank you for this - this is a very interesting Project. I'm curious - once you have a range of libraries on board for piloting, what is the timeframe and means for creating initial materials for use in the libraries
