Amazing Presentation, Thank you so much!
Fantastic Ty! Sarah and I learned so much…go diatoms! Love,
examples of efforts to improve quality?
Great presentation Tyler, thanks! Regarding recent improvements measured phosphorus decrease might be due to the Dixie Drain project from a few years back?
Great presentation. Did you evaluate trends for nirtophiles or saprobity?
Can you give some examples of what happened in 2012? The total phosphorus graph did seem to dip then.
Are you primarily using microscopy to identify diatom types or are you using eDNA methods??
What can be done about the reservoirs holding and stopping minerals and nutrients from entering the rivers naturally?
do diatoms continuously float downstream or do they stay in one spot? what's their lifespan?
That is great. Thanks Tyler
Thank you very much, you are very knowledgable so I was curious what you thought!!
How does herbicide/pesticide infiltration into the river effect periphyton populations?
thank you Tylier!
This presentation was recorded and will be available. Check the BREN website and Facebook page
Do you see succession in the periphyton community from early spring to late summer?
can you speak to implications to hells canyon complex?
