Hello! Thank you for hosting this virtual session. Just wanted to ask, what is the cut off date for international applications for Master degrees related to media/journalism? Are there any Master courses that start in Jan? Lastly, if someone is interested in investigative journalismg - Do you have any course on a Masters level that would be relvant to this pathway?

Hello! Let me start by expressing my sincerest gratitude for putting together this virtual session. My question is based on the placement. Do we find the companies or are we automatically placed and if we are, what is the criteria?

Steve Lucas here. The short answer is yes. We are still accepting applications for September, 2020. So your timing should work out fine.

Hi! I am an international student enrolled in Advanced Film and TV Program and I am excited to join Centennial family. Unfortunetelly, world situation remain complex and uncertain. What is the plan for the program if the quarantine continues or the borders remain closed? Thanks!

I have received the alternative offer for the Communications and Media Fundamentals program. I noticed there is a May 1st deadline to accept this offer. However I was really aiming to make it in the Broadcasting Program, but I academically fell short with a mark of 73% in my Grade 12 C English mark.I have signed up for the English assessment test online, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic all testing had been postponed. I'm still waiting for an available test date. I've contacted the Assessment Centre and they've told me there will be more availability starting May 1st. This puts me at a dilemma from my point of view. Do I play it safe and accept the alternative offer due to the May 1st deadline? (Just in case my marks fall short once again.) Or do I patiently wait to complete the English Assessment test? (Once the testing becomes available.) Then hope for the best that I score high enough that I wouldn't need to worry about the alternative offer at all.

We work as a bridge with field placement employers but we do try to match students to the the right pathway. So we work with you, but just like into real world you have to be prepared and apply to an employer. We do have relationships with hundreds of employers.

Hi, I am interested in the Advertising - Account Management course. Could someone please elaborate a little on the pathway of this course. How is it taught? Number of classes each week? Securing a placement post completion? etc etc …..

Hi everyone, thanks for the informative answers. What are some challenges we should be ready for if we are accepted into your programs? What pitfalls should we be prepared for, that other students have difficulty with?

I currently have a post-grad certificate conditional offer that pertains to the completion of my university program. I finished my undergrad requirements back in December, but since my official ‘completion’ is due for what would be my June graduation (now postponed due to COVID), is there a process I need to explore before May 1st in order to make my acceptance official?
