What was the cleaning regime when you get a positive case

Agree about home testing - the NHS do so we could with staff trained. We have trained all our staff but the limited kits meant we couldn't home test

My other half works for the NHS and has these kits at home to test before going into work.

PHE have said to me if contacted by track and trace they would have to self isolate

we have had a case this week where this was confirmed

are the barcodes on the tests normal 1D barcodes or are they 2D QR codes?

I don't think that after the test staff/students need to self-isolate as the risk of them having Covid 19 is unchanged

Where do you store the consent forms?

if the lateral flow test is positive do we give a pcr kit to take away or do we advise they book themselves through nhs?

we have been issuing PCR tests to positive tests to speed up process

Thank you Gerard - Can you please clarify how you achieved 16 tests per station per hour accurately - I can see the potential for tests, bar codes etc to be mixed up!

we Pre-register when we booking staff and students as it cuts down the registration time in the Testing Centre. It is working well

what information is required for the registration? is there a potential for registering on the students' behalf after the swab has been taken?

Were students/staff able to pre-book their test?

our group has decided that any test facility needs to be accessed/egressed from an outside space rather than inside the building but long term with higher numbers we will need to relax this

Did you ask staff/students to do the throat and nose swabbing? I've seen guidance that just one is sufficient?

do you recommend getting consent of the whole student/staff body in advance of mass testing?

Some NHS Trusts and services are doing nose only - but both nostrils not one. We have asked PHE and not had an answer yet on whether this is acceptable. Schools are very keen to be able to just do nose swabs as they’re concerned that students won’t want to do throat swabs.

PHE in my area have said that we can do either nasal or throat swab or both
