Getting Started with VoiceThread - Shared screen with speaker view
Who can see your viewing activity?
the volume is very low
I noticed a lock symbol on the commenters. Can comments be selectively visible to specific students?
How do you make it private?
Okay, we don’t get that option
Just students get it
is there a record of who commented, or do you need to look at the VT to see?
You can see who commented on VT and you can also save the comments.
So the audio feedback took you longer?
Do you have to set it up as threaded comments for that to work?
Threaded comments are set by default
You can also upload photo so that shows up instead of initials
Can students comment on each other’s Voice Thread creations? I’d like them to create their own Voice Thread and then view and comment on each other’s creation
Yes, I’ll show students responding to other students in the next example
Thanks for sharing all of these examples, Melanie.
Thank you Melanie
wonderful. thank you
Is this easier than students creating a brief PPT?
You are very welcome! I hope it was helpful or at least thought-provoking as you are planning your courses. :)
Rather than creating a VT with slides, can you upload a video you create in Zoom, for example, and students can then use the same VT features to comment via video, etc. as with slides?
Are you going to talk about how to enter a grade for their comments?
How have the students added their photos?
If you click on your name at the top of the screen, it will let you edit your profile (I think)
But to what folder are they adding their images?
It allows people to give feedback
Thank you so much. Very informative!
How do you change notifications settings?
VoiceThread is much more powerful than I initially thought! Thank you Sonia, Azeem, and Melanie for the very informative session.
Thank you, this was a great start!
Thank you very much. Great session
Thank you, Sonia!
Thanks, Sonia, and Everyone! I know what I’m doing this afternoon.
