Good question about consequences and absolutely - the first option is to explain why you shouldn’t do this. There does seem to be some good evidence on consequences as being an effective component of reducing conflict in the home - but of course best if you don’t need to use them!

Thanks for the answer Lucy. I agree (from my own experience) that consecuences is effective if you want the change the childs behaviour in the momento but it is less effective if you want the Children to change their behaviour because they understand why they are doing something wrong and show empathy (and wont repeat) instead of changing the behaviour because they want to watch tv or not having a previlege removed,,,

01:14:51
Help respond to questions! If you have answers and experiences, respond to your peers with your knowledge and experience

01:14:56
One of the issues is that parents some times don't know how to deal with children.

01:15:17
You’re absolutely right. We should have included that. It was so hard to get it down to these very very brief tips sheets. But we should have - and we can work out where to include in the next set. Thank you.

What are some of the outreach options for disseminating these tools and resources in rural communities with little or no access to internet, recognizing that in-person distribution is so limited due to physical distancing regulations and lockdowns?

01:19:42
What are we doing to support children with the various disabilities during this lockdown

01:19:47
Good question. Some governments like the Philippines are planning to distribute tips sheets with food parcels. In Romania the sheets have been printed and left at grocery store checkouts… these are some of the innovative ideas that people have had.

01:19:55
Any ideas very welcomed!

reducing risk of sexual abuse during isolation resource: https://www.chicagocac.org/reducing-risk-child-sexual-abuse-isolation/

01:23:40
Thanks for sharing those innovative ideas Lucy

01:24:06
@Lucy: An idea to distribute tip sheets could be to create a little video clip to show as "commercials" in the beginning of YouTube Videos - to grab attention of children and parents...

01:24:46
Although Myanmar is low income country, Government announce to provide food package to vulnerable family, exempt electric charge, telecommunication cost allowance. But still need to emphasize on Social protection particularly Child Protection. Focus on Health awareness from various channels.

01:25:09
I would like to know what services can be provided to children of health workers working in the frontline to fight with the COVID 19? In Mongolia, 83 percent of health workers are women of reproductive age. They leave their children at home for two or four weeks.

Thank you to all the presenters. It is expedient to prepare parents for positive parenting in the sense that this is entire a challenging aspect of community life. In my context, there is a complete lock down, no access to prepare the parents apart from on line. Several of the parents are not on line.

In a lockdown situation and where Social Workers are not recognized as critical staff how can CP services and continuum of care be provided during COVID -19 pandemic

01:30:59
In countries where lockdown is a reality, how to reach caregivers to ensure CP in households?

01:31:49
agree with diloy with lockdown children have long screentime , placed them as high risk for possible OSEC .

01:31:56
I mean, How the programmes are reaching care givers?

01:32:19
as they cant face each other

01:32:44
What is the best way that we could deal with special need children on Covid - 19?

01:32:58
We are not recognized as personnel on essential duties in the Nigerian context. How do we respond these challenges?

01:33:53
An simple answer is to engage the refugee community members for example the CP Volunteers and CP committees and provide them with simple skills of identifying children at risk and know the referral pathway. They are currently very useful to the camp context.

01:35:28
In low income countries like Lesotho where grandparents are main care givers and therefore cannot read and there are no media’s such as radio or tv to pass messages which are the best resources in forms of picture available to share

01:36:18
