Any special audit considerations if accepted PPP funds?
Risa Keeper
01:23:09
Hi Philip, we will address your question in the next section.
Alexandra
01:23:26
Is it typical to have a staff person who helps ensure that the Board 'does what it needs to do' or is more typical that the Board is self sufficient? If it is common, can you speak to that role and how it may play out?
Ashley Cheng
01:25:53
can staff be on the board as well?
Eva
01:30:44
Is the SINGLE AUDIT for federal funds required when you reach $750,000 in the non-profits fiscal year or calendar year?
Bookkeeper
01:30:46
What's the difference between an "audit" and a "review"?

01:43:37
Are all San Francisco DPH contractors required to undergo and annual audit?
Risa Keeper
01:46:05
Hi Eva, a single audit is required when $750,000 in federal funds are expended within the fiscal year of the nonprofit.
Risa Keeper
01:48:46
Hi Bookkeeper, an unmodified opinion audit provides full assurance of no misstatements. A review would only provide limited assurance. A compilation provides no assurance, just conforms financial statements to GAAP standards. There are different price points for each.
Philip Arca
01:49:29
As an Interim, and in the midst of the pandemic, just had the experience of an audit firm doing everything remotely and found it painful. Have preferred the more intense field work, on site 3-5 day thing with docs going back and forth in person. Thoughts on this new world of remote work and how to make it efficient, no too painful for the nonprofit.
StephenHu
01:50:35
Any opinion re Auditor rotation re rotating an Audit Partners within a firm vs changing firms...
Philip Arca
01:53:20
Clarify the “allocate transaction price”? Cost allocate?
StephenHu
01:54:33
Philip, our auditor has been doing our audit remotely for several years, then comes in at the completion of the field work for any open issues or suggestions. BTW, our records are very "clean" and we have been storing all of our records digitally for many years.
Risa Keeper
02:02:06
Hi Kentw, regarding DPH, check in with your program officer/contact manager about this. There is most likely a funding threshold and it may be different than general audit thresholds.

So if funds were received in FY20, we would book PPP loan as Loan Payable? And if forgiven in FY21, make a GJE for transfer to grant?
