Hi everyone! Jim from Long Island, NY here
2 of my fave ladies :) Nice to see you both Desiree and Ari!
And make sure to change the chat field to "All panelists and attendees" so everyone is part of the conversation!
Hey Desiree. #NYC19
Greetings from Atlanta, GA.
#NYC19!!!!! Hi Jenn
Also, how do I know what others want to hear that I may have to say? I always feel like everyone has already heard it.
Love that! Different people connect with different perspectives
Yes. Repeating ideas is ok!!!
I'll mention that 1 really helpful thing was talking to you Desiree and having you tell me you are an introvert at heart (as am I) - that was super helpful to see that I could actually do this well.
Yes - "You can't be a prophet in your own land"
Awww! Thanks Christina!
Yesss—thanks for speaking to the introverts :)
Thank you for saying that the introverts may not love the after events.
You might not love the after events, but if you share your passion, other people will jump on board and get excited about what you do! :)
Always helpful to have a wingperson :)
So glad you said that! I did the same presentation forever until I figured out how to expand.
Yes! Be honest about it!!! My experience.
That’s awesome! I’ve been doing some of that, as well. We have to use our voice to become a part of the narrative. Great ideas!
Best approach! Use the unfortunate, but real life experiences as teachable moments.
That's my other roadblock... the need for everything to "be perfect" before I'm ready to put it out there. It means I never actually get started.
That’s just a part of the journey. :-)
My Bitmoji “Jenmoji” is head of my PR dept.
Desiree, I'm waiting for your Google Classroom course on branding!
Getting those invitations is so exciting and empowering. Being noticed is such a confidence boost!
Please leave any questions in the chat!
I have to run, but thank you both! This was great
Me too - we chatted at the NYC energizer about it briefly
Which social platforms do you find most effective for getting your message out?
Do you invite people as panelists to online events and if so is there an ideal number?
I also have to run. Thank you for your insights and for encouraging our participation! You both rock.
Gotta run - fantastic webinar. Greatly appreciate the honest approach. Thanks!
To go back to something mentioned earlier... I always fear that I am going to propose a session that people already know about. How do you know that you are presenting edtech that is in demand?
Indeed! This is probably one of my absolute FAV topics! I’ve been presenting for 15 years now. This is awesome information everyone! :-)
Appreciate the mention of LGBTQ+ being a demographic for diversity.
You have to be persistent!
Thank you - great advice!
Such a great conversation!
Wonderful, generous insights. Thanks so much, Desiree and Ari!!
Thanks very much.
Thanks for joining in everyone :)
Thanks. Great info.
I definitely sent a few “Amens!” :-)
Thank you, both! This was really helpful!
Yes…thank you! I will be reaching out to connect and even on LinkedIn. :-)
I love that!
Very true! Great word, ladies! Thank you so much!
Definitely not Wendy! haha It happens to all of us
THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!
See you there! Thank you everyone!
