Can you offer a simple “how to” for effectively using powerpoint slides or an image via Zoom? As a host/speaker, what is the best way to also use PPT slides?
That would be most helpful
ALso a good software program for editing video and audio
For Zoom, use the Screen Share function to show PowrePoints and YouTube videos.
@ghule Thanks! is it possible to screen share PPT without having the viewer leave your view? Like a picture in picture type of thing?
When using Share Screen, everyone sees exactly what you are showing. They can't see anything else.
Thanks! Will play around with it...
I love the encouragement to do a children’s message!
I love the idea of doing a spiritual message from a Bubble Bath. ;-)
What other webinars and programming would be helpful to all of you? We'd like to do more of these.
My congregation would fall over with a bubble bath scene. lol
Our Youth Board is launching an 'adopt an elder' program to stay connected, send drawings from kids, run errands, etc.
@susan - I think it would be great to do one on pastoral care in the covid19 crisis.
Great idea, David.
online giving would be a great future webnar topic
not sure how many folks here lead meditation /mindfulness / contemplative practices, but it’d be great to explore how to effectively do that via Zoom or other online platforms
@vineet - not exactly the same, but my church did a lectio divina on Tuesday and is doing Taize worship right now. I can share the YouTube videos with you if you’d like.
I’m about to launch a Zoom-based weekly program for Princeton students called “Shanti in the Time of Corona” — 5 min guided meditation, 20 min reflection on a spiritual/yogic principle that can help us to navigate this crisis, 5 min of sharing
@david - sure, would be happy to see that. I really like Lectio Divina practice.
Is there a way tmake videos on voice thread and make those available to folks who don’t have voice thread?
Chana Leslie Glazer
I just led my first meditation program this week, on Zoom. It was great, only my recording also picked up the video of everyone else on the call. I am wondering if there is some way to record on Zoom without picking up all the other participants?
Thank you for the advice and suggestions, especially notes behind the camera!!
Is there an email list I could join so I would know if and when you do these again?
We need a session on how to use zoom effectively - especially in terms of bringing people together to lead and participate in worship
Yes to zoom training session!
