Who can see your viewing activity?
Yes, we're recording it!
Hi Grant & Jenne; quick question. How much choice as to your specific country/city placement did you have? Also, what exactly does the NCE status mean?
For Grant and Joy- For those that are interested in research/study, are you able to work in-country in an area that is related to what you are studying/researching in conjunction to fulfilling Fulbright responsibilities?
Could one of you explain the 12 months of noncompetitive hiring status eligibility?
Is there the possibility to stay and work in the host country past the length of the Fulbright grant?
Could you tell us more about language competency needed for a competitive application? How fluent should we be in another country’s language prior to submitting an application?
Can you elaborate on how you can be flexible in your application? How does this usually look on your app? For ex, are you able to say that you are interested in several research projects on your app?
Just to clarify, if someone was graduating in may 2021, would they be applying this summer?
For study grants, are there possibilities to do work outside of your academic program, for example at the embassy, local NGOs etc.
Can you clarify one of your statements? Are we allowed to accept funding outside of Fulbright?
Language requirements vary from country to country. This information is posted on the website.
Jarrett, yes, you would be applying in this round for travel in fall 2021. It's a looooong process.
Joshua, if you have other grants or scholarships, you need to disclose them because they may affect your Fulbright funding amounts.
can you briefly discuss opportunities for medical students? particularly with working and conducting research with the NIH?
Joy, does this application step with MSU also include recent graduates?
How many students from MSU applied for a Fulbright last year?
Will we be covering the National Geographic Storytelling Fellowship? If not, is there another webinar or contact I could be connected with? Thanks!
Hello Emma, we will be hosting a general webinar about the NatGeo opportunity later this summer. Please check our website for updates.
Thank you Grant!
Is it possible or encouraged to apply to multiple grants? I’m an artist with interests in various countries and programs.
If you want to go on a study grant at a university abroad, can you apply to full bright during the same you are applying to a university?
If you cannot apply to multiple grants, how then are you supposed to show that you are “flexible” in your application as it was discussed earlier in the presentation?
Thank you Grant!
This may be too specific, but is there a Fulbright program for study at the Univ of Oxford? On their website, Oxford says they have partnerships with Fulbright but I could not find a master’s program with Oxford on the Fulbright website
perfect! Thank you so much! (:
Could you talk a little bit about the affiliation letter and how that process works?
What do the LORs look like for an ETA?
Okay, gotcha. Thank you!
Thank you both!
